Tesla’s current US offers page lists different terms and warns that promotions can change or end.
What the October 2024 Model Y promotion reportedly offered
Notebookcheck’s October 2024 coverage described two financing options for the Tesla Model Y: 0% APR, and 0.99% APR with no down payment. The report said buyers had to purchase FSD to qualify for either deal. These are reported historical terms; an archived Tesla contract confirming the exact conditions was not available, so the figures should not be treated as independently verified loan terms.
The report connected the promotion to Tesla’s planned Robotaxi unveiling on October 10, 2024. It does not establish the full eligibility rules, loan terms, order or delivery deadlines, or expiration date for each APR option. In particular, it would be unsafe to assume the two offers had identical repayment periods or qualification requirements.
Are Tesla’s 0% Model Y financing deals still available?
The 2024 APR figures are not current terms. Tesla’s live US Current Offers page lists different Model Y promotional financing and says promotions may change or end at any time. The page’s available terms include a minimum 5% down payment plus applicable taxes and fees for several configurations, with terms up to 72 months; eligible vehicles and rates can change, so use the live page for an actual application or purchase decision.

Do not compare a historical 0% APR headline with a current offer without checking the details that determine the cost: vehicle configuration, loan term, required down payment, fees, qualification criteria, and whether any add-on is required. The current offer page is US-facing; terms may differ by market.
How FSD fits into the historical deal—and today’s terms
The reported 2024 promotion required purchasing FSD, according to Notebookcheck. That historical requirement is separate from Tesla’s current FSD terms. Tesla Support’s US page currently describes FSD (Supervised) as a $99-per-month subscription, while Tesla’s offers page advertises a 30-day trial for new vehicle deliveries. Check Tesla’s pages for current availability and conditions; neither current detail changes what the 2024 report said buyers had to do.

FSD (Supervised) is Tesla’s terminology for a driver-assistance feature. The name should not be read as a claim that a vehicle operates without a driver’s supervision. For a financing decision, calculate the total amount paid over the loan and any continuing subscription period rather than treating the APR alone as the complete cost.

The October 2024 offer was associated with a planned unveiling, not proof that a Robotaxi service was already operating. Tesla’s Q2 2025 update and 2025 annual filing say the company launched its Robotaxi service in Austin in June 2025. Tesla said the service launched with a safety rider, so those sources do not support describing that launch as fully driverless.

Tesla’s Q2 2025 update also describes a Robotaxi app with functions including requesting a ride, following the vehicle, presetting cabin temperature, unlocking the vehicle by phone, using in-car entertainment, and paying through a payment profile. These are Tesla’s descriptions of its product; they do not establish service availability beyond the areas and conditions Tesla specifies.
