When someone buys your own game pass inside your game, Roblox takes 30% of the Robux spent and you receive 70%. A 100-Robux pass therefore earns you 70 Robux—not 70 cents or a guaranteed cash payment.
How the split works for your own game pass
Roblox Creator Hub states, “When you sell your own passes in your game, you earn 70% of the Robux spent.” The remaining 30% is Roblox’s platform share. For example, if a player spends 100 Robux on your pass, you receive 70 Robux and Roblox takes 30 Robux.
When the pass belongs to another creator
If your game sells a pass created by someone else, the documented split is different: the pass owner receives 60% of the Robux spent, you as the owner of the selling game receive a 10% affiliate fee, and Roblox receives 30%. What a game pass is—and what the split measures
Roblox Creator Hub describes passes as “Special privileges within a game that users can purchase once, like entry to a restricted area, an in-game avatar item, or a permanent power-up.” The percentages above apply to sales of these in-game passes. Robux earnings are separate from cashing out
Your 70% share is earned in Robux. Turning eligible Earned Robux into money is a separate step through Roblox’s Developer Exchange (DevEx) program, which has eligibility requirements and rules about what counts as Earned Robux. Roblox currently lists a standard DevEx rate of $0.0038 per Earned Robux—equivalent to $114 for 30,000 Earned Robux.
