Factor in cleaning, handling, and replacement
Ease of cleaning and handle design can matter as much as cooking performance in daily use. Reviewed flags the Ninja set’s handles as harder to clean. Food Network describes a different test approach: frying, scrambling, and hard-boiling eggs; searing chicken thighs, skin-on fish, and strip steaks; simmering, boiling, and sautéing; hand-cleaning cookware; and checking for dishwasher damage when a maker claims dishwasher safety. Its guide, updated August 14, 2026, says reviewers considered other reviews and home-cook reports alongside test-kitchen and home-stove testing. Its stated methods are available in Food Network’s cookware-set guide.
