Wayfair’s U.S. homepage was observed promoting an Epic Fall Sale with discounts of up to 70% off—not 77%—and a banner saying the sale “ends tonight.” That is a time-sensitive page observation, not a guarantee the offer is still live. The available product details do not establish a current, verified list of 30 deals, so this article does not present expired prices as recommendations.
What Wayfair’s observed sale advertised
When Wayfair’s U.S. homepage was observed in 2026, its banner read “EPIC FALL SALE FEAT. DELTA | UP TO 70% OFF ENDS TONIGHT.” The page displayed furniture, decor and rugs. Its overall advertised maximum was 70%, so it did not substantiate the title’s 77% claim. Wayfair’s U.S. homepage
The homepage showed these examples at the time of observation. They are snapshots of a dynamic retailer page; their prices, availability and sale status may have changed.
| Product | Observed price | Observed comparison price | Advertised markdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kirsten upholstered counter stool | $249.99 | $599.00 | 58% off |
| Erol hand-tufted wool striped rug | $369.99 | $880.00 | 58% off |
| Ajacia geometric indoor/outdoor area rug | $157.99 | $486.00 | 67% off |
Why older Wayfair deal roundups are not current recommendations
Promotional ceilings change between events, and a historical maximum does not establish what a shopper can buy now. Wayfair Inc. announced that its 2026 Way Day ran April 25–27, advertised discounts up to 80% across furniture, home decor and more, and introduced new deals every 24 hours. That event has passed; its advertised maximum cannot verify an October offer. Wayfair Inc.’s Way Day 2026 announcement
Likewise, Tom’s Guide’s September 17, 2026 fall-sale roundup said its sale ended September 21. It listed a Marilee wood and black metal frame bed at $197 against a $791 comparison price, or 75% off. That was the article’s dated listing, not a verified live price. Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 roundup
Wayfair’s October 2025 corporate announcement also promoted a Way Day with discounts up to 80% and called it the company’s biggest sale of that year. This is historical company promotion, not evidence of a current deal. Wayfair Inc.’s October 2025 announcement

How to judge a Wayfair markdown before buying
A discount percentage is useful only when the exact item and its live price can be checked. Before relying on a deal, compare the product’s current listing and checkout details rather than carrying forward a price from a banner, past event or roundup.
- Confirm the exact product, size, material, color and configuration; similar-looking options can have different prices.
- Check the live sale price and the comparison price shown on that product listing, then calculate the reduction from those figures.
- Review stock, delivery charges and timing, assembly requirements, and any offer end time displayed for that item.
- Recheck the listing before checkout because a sale price or availability can change.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
