Fizz’s Quebec plan page displays “Last chance: offer valid until Sept. 15 inclusively,” but does not identify the year, and its visible plan selector does not verify a $29 price for 20 GB. Check the live plan selector for your province before switching; Fizz says offers and rates may change without notice and may differ by province.
Can you still get Fizz’s $29/20 GB plan?
As of October 4, 2026, the offer’s current availability is unconfirmed. Fizz’s official Quebec plan page shows a September 15 deadline without a year, while the selector content available on that page does not establish the advertised price-and-data combination. The banner alone is not enough to determine whether the offer has expired or whether it applies to a particular province or customer.
Check the plan selector during signup and confirm the price, data allowance, eligibility, and any conditions shown before placing an order. Fizz’s legal notes state that offers, services, and rates are subject to change without notice and may differ by province. Fizz’s Quebec plan page and legal notes are the place to verify its current terms.
What the $29 headline does—and does not—tell you
The title’s $29/20 GB wording does not establish the offer’s current recurring price, what happens after a discount, or which calls, texts, and coverage are included. Fizz’s legal notes say the monthly base price excludes discounts, add-ons, travel add-ons, out-of-plan charges, and taxes. Applicable taxes are extra, so use the final checkout amount to judge the bill.
Fizz says the monthly base price of a plan identified as such remains unchanged during a subscription unless the subscriber changes the plan. That is not a promise that new customers can continue to sign up for an offer, or that the same plan and conditions will be available after a change. Fizz also says plan changes are subject to its change policy and must be made outside a freeze period. If keeping a promotional rate matters, check the change rules before modifying the plan.

Can you bring your own phone?
Yes, Fizz says you can choose any plan when bringing your own phone, but the device must be compatible with Fizz and VoLTE-certified on its network. Confirm your exact phone model before switching. Fizz’s indexed BYOP page also says there is no connection fee or long-term contract; the page itself was unavailable during review, so check its current terms when signing up. Fizz’s Bring Your Own Phone page contains its BYOP information.
Fizz offers a free eSIM and a physical SIM with no activation fee. The company describes eSIM activation as same-day; its official mobile FAQ gives a usual physical SIM delivery estimate of 2–5 business days. If you want to transfer your active number, Fizz says not to cancel your existing provider first—start the transfer through Fizz instead.

Check coverage where you actually use your phone
Fizz lists mobile service in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. It advertises 5G in several urban areas and 5G+ in certain areas, but availability depends on location and the selected coverage. Fizz’s Quebec legal notes say the coverage selected for the plan defines where the service can be used, and subscribers must not use the service primarily on a partner provider’s network.

Look up your home, workplace, and regular travel locations on Fizz’s mobile page and coverage map. A province being listed does not guarantee the same coverage or 5G availability in every community.

How unused data rollover works
Fizz says eligible unused data from your plan can be used during the next two months after the cycle in which it accrued, as long as you keep an active plan. Add-on data, gifted data, and My Rewards data do not qualify for this plan-data rollover.
Data gifting is separate: Fizz says only data associated with the current cycle can be gifted, in 500 MB blocks. The recipient needs an eligible active plan and must use the gifted data before the end of their next full cycle. Check the current plan terms for details before relying on gifted data as a substitute for a larger allowance.

Try Fizz without porting your number first
Fizz’s mobile page advertises a 15-day trial with 3 GB of data, 100 texts, and 100 minutes, available with a free eSIM. Fizz says you can test service while keeping your existing provider and without transferring your number. Confirm eligibility and the trial’s current terms at signup before treating it as available to you.

Compare the offer with your current plan and alternatives using the details that determine your actual cost and service:

- What is included: confirm the monthly data allowance and the included calls, texts, voicemail, and coverage.
- Rollover rules: check how long eligible data lasts and which types of data are excluded.
- Coverage and network: check your regular locations and confirm whether the plan’s selected coverage suits your travel.
- Device and setup: verify phone compatibility and VoLTE certification, and whether your phone supports eSIM if you need quick activation.
- Offer conditions: confirm that the plan is available in your province and to your account, and whether changing plans could forfeit the rate.
The reviewed official materials do not establish comparable current prices for named competing plans, so they do not support a numerical market ranking. Compare current offers directly rather than treating the $29 headline as proof that this is the cheapest option.
