Physiology or Medicine
Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi received the prize for discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance. The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet used that wording in its formal citation.
Physics
John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis were recognized for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said their experiments demonstrated quantum tunnelling and quantised energy levels in an electrical circuit.

Chemistry
Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi received the prize for developing metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). These structures contain cavities through which gases and other chemicals can flow. Potential applications include water harvesting, carbon dioxide capture, toxic-gas storage and catalysis; these are possibilities, not established universal solutions.
Literature
László Krasznahorkai received the prize for “his compelling and visionary oeuvre that, in the midst of apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the power of art.”

How much was the Nobel Prize money in 2025?
The 2025 amount was SEK 11.0 million for a full prize, according to Nobel Prize Outreach’s facts page. It is the amount for an award as a whole, not a guaranteed payment of SEK 11 million to every laureate. When a prize is shared, the amount is divided among its recipients.
- Physics: Clarke, Devoret and Martinis shared the SEK 11 million equally, receiving one third each.
- Economic Sciences: Mokyr received half; Aghion and Howitt shared the other half.
The cited examples specify those divisions; they do not establish an individual share for every other 2025 category. The 2025 figure also does not establish the amount for 2026. No currency conversion is included here.
