Former editors said the 2026 edition would be their last, but the publication was acquired on January 28, 2026, and its publisher later announced the 2027 edition for sale. If you want the 2026 book specifically, the publisher says its store is sold out; local bookstores and grocery stores are possibilities, not confirmed sources.
What happened to the Farmers’ Almanac?
In a farewell notice, former editors Sandi Duncan and Peter Geiger wrote, “The 2026 Farmers’ Almanac will be our last edition.” The notice also said the Almanac would no longer be available in print or online. Later developments changed that course.
Farmers’ Almanac LLC announced that Tim Konrad acquired the publication on January 28, 2026. The announcement said the online archive would remain accessible and that plans were underway for future print editions. On August 21, 2026, the publisher announced that the 2027 Farmers’ Almanac was on sale. The former editors’ statement described their plans at the time; it is not the latest word on whether the publication continues.
Where can you get the 2026 edition?
The 2026 edition is the one the former editors called their last. The farewell notice says the Farmers’ Almanac store is sold out and suggests checking local grocery stores or bookstores. Those are places to look, not verified sources of remaining stock. The notice does not confirm current inventory, prices, or shipping at any retailer, so contact a shop directly before making a trip or purchase.

Where can you get the current 2027 edition?
The publisher’s 2027 edition announcement says the book is on sale and links to Amazon. Look for the 2027 edition if you want the current annual book; it is not the edition the former editors described as final.
The publisher calls the 2027 book its 210th edition and describes it as ad-free, with long-range forecasts, gardening guidance, astronomy, seasonal tips, folklore, household and outdoor advice, stories, facts, and calendars. Those are the publisher’s descriptions; the forecast listing is not independent evidence of forecast accuracy.
