That is a specialist seller’s pricing—not a Lexus-wide average or a dealer-installed estimate. Your cost depends on the vehicle, diagnosis, battery selected, parts availability, and what the quote includes. Before paying out of pocket, check whether the vehicle qualifies for warranty coverage.
What does a Lexus hybrid battery replacement cost?
Greentec Auto’s September 8, 2026 article gives a $1,999–$5,495 range for its own Lexus replacement options. The seller’s listing includes model-specific products, and the price depends on the model and battery choice. It is not an independent market survey, a Lexus-published price list, or evidence of what a dealer will charge to install a battery. Confirm current price, installation, delivery, warranty, and core terms with the seller.
Temecula Valley Lexus says there is no single published out-of-warranty price: the total depends on the vehicle, battery, parts availability, and diagnostic findings. Its guide does not provide a model-by-model dealer price table. So there is not enough evidence here to calculate a reliable average Lexus hybrid battery replacement cost.

Check warranty coverage before approving the repair
Lexus’s US LexusCare page states: “Lexus Hybrid models have a ten-year/150,000-mile Hybrid Battery Warranty.” That general statement does not establish eligibility for every vehicle or repair. Check the warranty booklet that applies to your model year and confirm coverage for your specific vehicle, mileage, and circumstances with Lexus or a dealer. The statement is for the US market; do not assume the same terms apply in another country.
There may also be coverage for a replacement part, which is distinct from the vehicle’s original hybrid battery warranty. Lexus’s parts warranty says a high-voltage battery installed by an authorized Lexus dealer—excluding commercial, fleet, or livery vehicles—is covered for 36 months regardless of mileage from installation, or for the remainder of the new-vehicle limited warranty, whichever provides greater coverage. High-voltage batteries not installed by an authorized Lexus dealer and/or installed on commercial, fleet, or livery vehicles are covered under the 12-month Lexus Service Parts Limited Warranty. Read the terms for the particular part and installation before relying on them.

Ask each provider for a written estimate tied to the VIN or exact year, model, and trim. A pack-only advertised price and a fully installed quote are not equivalent.

- Confirm the diagnosis. Ask what testing indicates that the high-voltage battery pack needs replacement, rather than relying on a price estimate alone.
- Identify the battery being offered. Ask whether it is a new OEM pack, a remanufactured or reconditioned pack, or another product category. Request the part number and confirm fitment for your vehicle.
- Get the full installed total. Have the quote itemize the battery, labor, diagnosis, taxes, shop fees, and shipping or freight, if applicable.
- Clarify any core deposit. Ask whether you must return the old battery, the deposit amount, the return deadline, and the conditions for receiving a refund.
- Compare warranty terms. Get the parts and labor warranty periods, any mileage limits, exclusions, and details on who handles a claim.
- Check where the work can be done. Confirm the installation location and service availability in your area, and whether those details change the quoted total.
