The widely reported estimates were about $40 million for Jake Paul and $20 million for Mike Tyson—roughly $60 million combined. Those are estimates, not confirmed final payments: neither the promoters nor the Texas Athletic Commission disclosed official purse figures.
What was each fighter reportedly paid?

The figures are consistent with estimates reported before and after the event, including by the Associated Press on November 12, 2024. Their repetition in coverage does not make them official purse disclosures.
Why the reported amounts are not confirmed pay
Post-fight reporting said the promoters and the Texas Athletic Commission did not disclose official purses. Paul’s quote provides a direct record of what he said he expected to make, but does not establish the amount ultimately paid. Tyson’s figure is a reported estimate attributed to Cejudo and repeated by other outlets, rather than a public contract or commission record.
The available reporting does not establish contract terms, bonuses, revenue shares, deductions, taxes, or either fighter’s net proceeds. For that reason, the estimates should not be described as take-home pay or as verified final earnings.

The bout took place on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and streamed on Netflix. Netflix’s event announcement established the streaming partnership; its post-event account reported 72,300 attendees and more than 108 million live viewers. Those are measures of the event’s scale, not evidence of either fighter’s individual purse.
Similarly, CBS Sports reported that Most Valuable Promotions announced a live gate exceeding the Texas record at $17.8 million. A live gate is event revenue, not the amount automatically paid to either boxer; it cannot confirm the reported purse estimates.
