SAFE Security announced a $70 million Series C on July 31, 2025, led by Avataar Ventures. The enterprise cyber-risk software company said the financing would support its cyber-risk business and its stated CyberAGI ambition. The raise is historical, not a newly announced 2026 financing.

Who invested in SAFE’s $70 million round?

SAFE’s July 31, 2025 announcement names Avataar Ventures as the lead investor. Other participants were Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, NextEquity Partners and Prosperity7 Ventures, alongside existing investors Eight Roads, John Chambers and Sorenson Capital. SAFE’s announcement, distributed by PR Newswire, gives the round details; SecurityWeek independently reported the $70 million round the following day.

SAFE said the financing brought its total funding to more than $170 million. That cumulative figure is company-reported in the announcement and was also reported by SecurityWeek.

What SAFE says it will do with the funding

The company said it would invest in its cyber-risk business and advance its reasoning models toward “CyberAGI,” its stated mission. CyberAGI is SAFE’s description of an ambition; the funding announcement does not establish that the company has achieved artificial general intelligence or independently validate such a capability.

The announcement also quoted SAFE co-founder and CEO Saket Modi calling the raise “a defining moment in our pursuit of CyberAGI.” Avataar Ventures founding partner Nishant Rao characterized SAFE as “not as another detection tool, but as a strategic intelligence layer across the entire cybersecurity stack.” These are statements by the company’s CEO and an investor, respectively, rather than independent assessments.

What SAFE’s platform covers

SAFE described its Cyber Risk Singularity platform as covering three areas:

  • Cyber Risk Quantification (CRQ): the company’s framing of tools to quantify an organization’s cyber risk.
  • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM): tools for managing risks associated with vendors and other third parties.
  • Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM): an offering SAFE announced alongside the funding as an expansion of its platform, powered by autonomous AI agents.

SAFE called its CTEM offering the “world’s first fully autonomous” solution. That is the company’s marketing claim, not an independently established ranking or industry finding.

What the company disclosed about adoption and customers

SAFE said that more than 50% of its customers had adopted its TPRM module after its launch in 2024. It also reported triple-digit revenue growth for three consecutive years and named Google, Fidelity, T-Mobile, Chevron and IHG as customers. These are company-reported claims; the announcement did not provide audited revenue figures or independently verified customer data.

Rao also cited “120%+ year-over-year growth since launch” in SAFE’s release. The announcement attributes that figure to the Avataar Ventures founding partner; it should not be read as an audited financial result.

Why the announcement date matters

The $70 million Series C was announced on July 31, 2025, so it should not be mistaken for a current financing event. SAFE’s press-release index, reviewed October 4, 2026, lists later company announcements, including a November 2025 Balbix acquisition release and a May 2026 AI Security Posture Management launch. Those announcements show subsequent company activity but do not change the date or terms of this funding round.
