Register for online access to your Best Buy credit card
Best Buy identifies Citibank Account Online as the place to manage an existing My Best Buy Credit Card. Best Buy says that registering with Citibank lets cardmembers check balances, view statements and transaction history, make payments, manage account preferences, request a credit-line increase, and view or activate cardmember offers. Best Buy calls creating this online profile “registering.” The available Best Buy guidance does not confirm the exact page path, buttons, information to enter, or security checks for registration. Go to the Citibank Account Online service identified by Best Buy, and follow its current registration prompts; do not rely on an unverified address or assume that offer activation is physical-card activation.
Registering an account is different from activating a new card
The phrase “activate” can refer to activating cardmember offers in the online account. That is not the same as activating a newly issued physical card. Best Buy’s cited help page explains online registration and account management, but does not document the procedure or verification requirements for activating a new card. If you have just received a card and need to make it ready for use, contact Citibank rather than treating online account registration or an offer activation as the card activation process.

Choose the right account for the task

These accounts serve different purposes. A Best Buy retail login does not, by itself, provide access to Citibank card statements or payments.
Check which Best Buy card you have
Best Buy describes two different products: the My Best Buy Credit Card, which can be used only at Best Buy, and the My Best Buy Visa, which can be used at Best Buy and wherever Visa is accepted.
