Qatar says its 30-seat 787-9 business cabin has privacy doors. The airline also lists in-suite lighting and electro-dimmable windows, as well as wireless charging, Bluetooth and USB-C. Those details may make this a candidate for travelers who value a more enclosed space and device access.

Do not assume every Qatar 787 has this product or layout. Qatar lists both 1-2-1 and select 2-2-2 configurations across its 787 business fleet. 2. Qatar Airways 787-8 Business Class: for a select layout with direct aisle access
Qatar says select 787-8 aircraft use a 2-2-2 arrangement in which seats have direct aisle access. That qualification matters: not all 787-8s share the layout, and a 2-2-2 cabin should not automatically be assumed to offer aisle access from every seat. ANA’s THE Room FX is fitted on a 206-seat version of its 787-9, with 48 business-class seats. ANA describes a self-contained seat with a sliding door, curved backrest, adjustable legrest and a pre-reclining lounge position that converts to a bed. ANA says the concept is intended to create a spatial experience comparable to a larger aircraft; that is the airline’s product claim, not an independent measurement. Confirm that your flight is on the 206-seat version before choosing this cabin. ANA’s 787-9 page distinguishes THE Room FX from its other business-class product.

Air Canada says its wide-body business-class seats lie completely flat. For its 787 cabin, the airline lists personal entertainment systems and 110V outlets. Its cabin page does not identify a particular 787 seat model, suite door or configuration, so those features should not be assumed from the Signature Class name alone.

A cabin name or airline logo is not enough to identify the seat. Qatar publishes different 787 layouts; ANA has distinct 787-9 products; and Air Canada’s cited page does not name a specific 787 seat model. Airline seat maps may show typical configurations, and specifications can change.
- Open the flight details on the airline’s booking page and confirm the aircraft type and variant shown for your departure.
- Open the airline’s seat map and compare the cabin layout with the product description. For ANA, the maps are described as typical configurations; use the ANA international 787-8 seat map alongside its 787-9 product details.
- For Qatar, confirm whether the assigned aircraft is a 787-8 or 787-9 and whether its layout matches the seat you want; the airline documents variation across the fleet.
- Recheck the aircraft and map close to departure if the seat product is a deciding factor, since airline aircraft and seat specifications can change.
