ThreatLocker announced a $115 million Series D funding round on April 24, 2024. Existing investor General Atlantic led the round, with StepStone Group and the D. E. Shaw group participating. The company said it would use the proceeds to develop its products and expand internationally.

Who invested in ThreatLocker’s Series D?

General Atlantic led the financing. StepStone Group and the D. E. Shaw group also participated, according to ThreatLocker’s April 24, 2024 announcement and contemporaneous SecurityWeek coverage.

SecurityWeek reported that the round brought ThreatLocker’s cumulative funding to nearly $240 million. The company’s 2024 announcement did not state that cumulative figure. SecurityWeek also reported that ThreatLocker had raised $100 million in its Series C in April 2022.

What did the company say it would do with the money?

ThreatLocker said the new capital would support product innovation and international expansion. CEO and co-founder Danny Jenkins said the funding would help the company continue developing its Zero Trust products and grow its market presence.

The announcement described the financing as supporting a business whose revenue had doubled and whose workforce had grown by 50% in the preceding year. Those are company-reported figures for the period before the April 2024 announcement, not independently audited results in the sources reviewed.

What does ThreatLocker sell?

ThreatLocker’s April 2024 announcement described a Zero Trust security suite for servers and endpoints. Its named offerings included Default Deny Application Control, Ringfencing, Storage Control, Privileged Access Management, Network Access Control, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and Managed Detection & Response (MDR).

In practical terms, allowlisting and default-deny controls are intended to restrict software and activity to what an organization has approved. The company said its products block untrusted software and address threats including ransomware and exploitation of known and unknown application vulnerabilities. These are vendor claims; the cited financing coverage is not independent testing of product effectiveness.

What customer scale did ThreatLocker report?

In the Series D announcement, ThreatLocker said it worked with thousands of partners and protected more than 50,000 organizations. These are company-reported announcement-era figures, not independently verified customer or partner totals.

Is the Series D still ThreatLocker’s latest funding?

No. The $115 million Series D is a historical 2024 financing announcement. ThreatLocker announced a $190 million Series F on July 29, 2026, led by Elephant, with continued support from D. E. Shaw Ventures and Arthur Ventures and a new investment from Koch Disruptive Technologies. The company said it planned to use that later round to support AI security, platform development, and international growth.

ThreatLocker’s 2026 announcement also reported more than 70,000 organizations worldwide. That company-reported figure is later than, and should not be conflated with, the more-than-50,000 figure in the 2024 Series D release. The 2026 announcement describes subsequent platform ambitions across endpoints, networks, and cloud resources; it does not change what the company said the Series D would fund.
