Sign in with your mobile number or PRAN and date of birth, explain the issue by voice or chat, and check that a grievance is registered if the assistant does not resolve it. If the first-level response is unsatisfactory or the complaint remains unresolved, PFRDA provides further escalation routes, including NPS Trust and the Ombudsman.
How do I raise a complaint through the PFRDA Pension Sahayak portal?
- Open the official portal. Go to pensionsahayak.pfrda.org.in and choose the option to raise a grievance. Check the domain before entering personal information.
- Sign in. The portal describes authentication using a mobile number or PRAN and date of birth. Do not give your PRAN, date of birth, or any OTP to an unofficial intermediary.
- Describe the problem. Explain the service or transaction issue in plain language using voice or chat. Have relevant records handy—such as the transaction date, amount, reference or acknowledgement number, and related correspondence—if requested. PFRDA’s reviewed guidance does not establish a fixed evidence checklist, so treat these as useful details, not mandatory portal fields.
- Confirm registration. If the assistant does not resolve the issue, check that a grievance has been registered and retain its grievance ID. PFRDA says subscribers can track a grievance online and see resolution remarks.
Pension Sahayak is presented by PFRDA as its official grievance portal for subscribers of pension schemes regulated or administered by the Authority. The portal describes voice and chat assistance and says an unresolved interaction triggers grievance registration. Its stated capabilities include support in 22 Indian languages, 24/7 AI support, WhatsApp-enabled lodging, and access on phones, tablets, and computers; these are portal-described features, not a guarantee that every service will be available in every case. PFRDA announced the platform’s launch on 22 June 2026 (PFRDA).
How can I track my NPS grievance?
Use the portal’s grievance-tracking option and the grievance ID you retained after filing. Review the status and any resolution remarks. If you cannot find a registered complaint or its status, return to the portal and use the available grievance or tracking action to check the record.
When can I escalate my NPS complaint?
PFRDA describes a sequence of destinations for grievances. The relevant trigger and next destination depend on where the complaint was handled and whether a response was received:

#1 Best Overall
| Stage | Who handles it | When to proceed |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Initial grievance | The concerned intermediary or government nodal office | File through Pension Sahayak. First-level grievances are assigned to the relevant intermediary or nodal office. |
| 2. NPS Trust | NPS Trust | Use the portal’s track-grievance escalation option if you are dissatisfied with the intermediary’s resolution or the complaint remains unresolved 30 days after filing. |
| 3. Ombudsman | The Ombudsman | PFRDA says a subscriber may appeal if dissatisfied with Level 2 redressal or if no reply arrives more than 21 days after the complaint reaches that level. |
| 4. Revision | The designated PFRDA member | A revision may follow an Ombudsman order. Check PFRDA’s current prescribed format and eligibility conditions. |
| 5. Final appeal | Securities Appellate Tribunal | PFRDA names this as the final route in its sequence. Check the current requirements before proceeding. |
For current instructions and prescribed formats, consult PFRDA’s subscriber grievance and escalation guidance. The named routes do not mean every complaint automatically qualifies for each later appeal. PFRDA’s regulations page lists the 2015 Redressal of Subscriber Grievance Regulations and subsequent amendments, including a second amendment issued on 21 February 2024; follow the current rules and conditions rather than relying on an old form or contact detail.
