The figures show a steep decline, not zero sales—and they are U.S. estimates, not Tesla-reported global totals.
How many Cybertrucks did Tesla sell in 2025?
Kelley Blue Book estimated 20,237 U.S. Cybertruck sales for 2025, compared with 38,965 in 2024, a 48.1% year-over-year decline. These are Cox Automotive/Kelley Blue Book estimates of U.S. model sales, not a Cybertruck-only figure reported by Tesla. Kelley Blue Book’s Q4 2025 EV Sales Report provides the annual estimate.

Tesla’s public delivery tables do not disclose a standalone Cybertruck count. In its Q2 2026 filing, the company grouped Cybertruck with Model S and Model X under “other models,” reporting 12,364 deliveries for the combined category. That total cannot be treated as Cybertruck sales. Tesla’s Q2 2026 production and deliveries exhibit shows the grouping.
Were Cybertruck sales still falling during 2025?
The quarterly estimates fluctuated, but the year-over-year comparisons worsened after the first quarter. Kelley Blue Book estimated 6,406 U.S. sales in Q1 2025, up 128.5% from the same quarter a year earlier. That increase was against a small 2024 launch-period base. Sales then fell to 4,306 in Q2, down 50.8% year over year, and 5,385 in Q3, down 62.6%. The first three quarters together totaled 16,097, down 38.0% year over year.

The quarterly and annual figures are Cox Automotive/Kelley Blue Book estimates for U.S. sales. Q1, Q2 and Q3 figures and comparisons come from the Q1, Q2 and Q3 2025 EV Sales Reports; Q4 and the full-year total come from the Q4 2025 report.
Was the decline simply part of a weaker U.S. EV market?
No. Kelley Blue Book estimated that total U.S. EV sales reached 438,487 in Q3 2025, up 29.6% year over year. Over the same quarter, Tesla’s estimated share of U.S. EV sales fell to 41% from 49% in Q3 2024. The broader market was growing while the Cybertruck’s estimated sales were down sharply; that contrast does not, by itself, identify why the truck’s sales declined. Cox Automotive’s Q3 2025 EV sales commentary gives the market context.

What do these figures establish—and what don’t they?
The estimates establish a substantial drop in U.S. Cybertruck sales between 2024 and 2025, with especially steep year-over-year declines in the second half of 2025. They do not establish whether the cause was demand, production, pricing, or another factor; nor do they show whether the decline will persist or whether the model is profitable.
Tesla’s 2025 Form 10-K reported a $6.66 billion, or 9%, decrease in company-wide automotive sales revenue compared with 2024, attributing the result to factors including lower cash deliveries and lower average selling price per unit. That company-level disclosure is not a Cybertruck-specific revenue or profitability measure. Tesla’s 2025 Form 10-K does not break out the truck’s contribution.

As of October 4, 2026, Tesla’s latest available production and delivery release was for Q3 2026, but its aggregate table did not provide a Cybertruck-only number. No Q3 2026 Kelley Blue Book model-level estimate was available in the sources cited here, so the 2025 figures should not be mistaken for a current 2026 sales count. Tesla’s Q3 2026 production and delivery release also cautions that deliveries alone should not be relied on as an indicator of quarterly financial results.
