National Sandwich Day fell on Monday, November 3, 2025. Restaurants advertised discounts and freebies for that date and nearby days, but those promotions have expired and are not redeemable now. Here is what the reported offers required, including purchase minimums, membership rules, redemption channels and offer windows.
Reported National Sandwich Day 2025 offers
The offers below were reported by WRAL in a roundup published October 30 and updated November 4, 2025. They were subject to participating-location availability; the terms and coverage do not establish that every location offered them.

What the deal terms meant for customers
- A free item could require substantial spending. Firehouse Subs required a $15 order for its free medium sub, and Popeyes required a $10 purchase for its free chicken sandwich. Potbelly’s free item also depended on buying another sandwich or wrap.
- “Buy one, get one” did not always mean the second item was free. McAlister’s discounted the lower-priced sandwich by 50%, while Panera’s reported price for the second whole sandwich was $5.
- Channel and eligibility mattered. Some deals required rewards membership, an app or website order, or a promo code. Requirements differed by chain, so a deal’s headline alone was not enough to establish eligibility.
- Checkout could change the effective cost. McAlister’s terms allowed taxes and fees to apply, and the roundups cautioned that participation varied by location. Other offers also had exclusions, limits, or date windows.
Coverage and location caveats
KPRC’s November 3, 2025 roundup focused on the Houston area and independently reported offers involving Jimmy John’s, Panera, McAlister’s, Pizza Hut, Arby’s, Potbelly, Firehouse Subs, Schlotzsky’s, and a later Cheba Hut event. That local coverage is not proof of nationwide availability. Its list and WRAL’s broader roundup were not identical; a restaurant’s absence from one list does not establish that it had no promotion. For each offer, the reported terms—not the name of the holiday or a national assumption—are the useful guide to dates, participating locations, purchase requirements, and redemption conditions.
Source basis
The reported offer terms in this retrospective are based on WRAL’s roundup, published October 30 and updated November 4, 2025, and KPRC’s Houston-area roundup published November 3, 2025. WRAL attributed offer terms to companies in some cases, but the available coverage is primarily journalism reporting promotions, not a complete archive of official brand terms. The Subway terms here are attributed to WRAL; the reviewed Subway newsroom archive did not directly verify that November 3 offer.
