She later pleaded guilty to mail fraud and, on September 24, 2025, was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison and three years of supervision after release. The purported loan was an allegation in the case, not an established debt owed by Lisa Marie Presley.
Who was charged in the Graceland scheme?
The U.S. Department of Justice identified Lisa Jeanine Findley as the defendant. Prosecutors described Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC as a fictitious lender—not a genuine creditor with an established claim against the Presley family.
In its August 16, 2024 announcement, the Justice Department said Findley was charged with mail fraud and aggravated identity theft. Those were allegations at that stage: the department noted that the criminal complaint was not proof of guilt and that a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
What did prosecutors say the alleged loan involved?
According to the Justice Department’s 2024 account, Findley allegedly claimed that Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed $3.8 million in 2018 and pledged Graceland as collateral. Prosecutors said the purported lender then sought $2.85 million from the family to settle the claimed debt. These figures describe what prosecutors said Findley represented and demanded; they do not establish that Lisa Marie Presley took out such a loan.

The Justice Department alleged that the scheme relied on fabricated loan documents and forged signatures. It also said a false creditor’s claim was filed in Los Angeles, a fake deed of trust was filed in Memphis, and a foreclosure notice published in The Commercial Appeal announced an auction planned for May 23, 2024. Prosecutors said false court filings followed after the family sued in Tennessee. The department’s announcement also said Findley later blamed a Nigerian identity thief.
Was Graceland sold?
No. The planned May 23, 2024 auction did not go ahead. The Justice Department said the Presley family filed a state-court action to stop the sale. The attempted foreclosure described by prosecutors was not a completed sale of Graceland.

In September 2024, a federal grand jury returned an indictment, according to the Justice Department’s later sentencing announcement. On February 25, 2025, Findley pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. The plea is the established conviction outcome; the original aggravated identity theft charge should not be described as a conviction.
On September 24, 2025, the Justice Department reported that Findley was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervision after release.
