How to choose a standing desk that fits
Start with your actual setup rather than a broad claim about what height suits a particular person. Measure the work-surface height that puts your keyboard approximately at elbow height while seated, then repeat while standing. Check that both measurements fall within the desk’s range, accounting for desktop thickness and any keyboard tray.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) gives keyboard-height guidance of 22–30 inches for seated tasks and 36–46.5 inches for standing tasks. These are purchasing-guide criteria, not a guarantee of fit for every person or a clinical standard. Count the complete equipment load
Add up the desktop, monitors, computer, arms, speakers, and other items you plan to leave on the desk. Compare that total with the rated capacity for the exact desk configuration, and leave sensible headroom. A maximum or working-load figure does not establish stability at every height or under every arrangement. Where a source distinguishes working capacity from static load, do not treat those figures as interchangeable.
Consider the full purchase, not just the frame
Before ordering, compare the exact top dimensions, frame and motor arrangement, controls and presets, cable management, stability evidence at your intended height, warranty scope, delivery, assembly, return terms, and total price. Which desk may suit your setup?
Consider the UPLIFT V3 for a wider range of reported top sizes
The reported width options span 42–80 inches, with 24- or 30-inch depths. That range may help if your workspace needs a compact top or room for several devices, but measure the room and monitor placement rather than assuming a larger surface is automatically better. Its reported 22.8-inch minimum may also be relevant if your seated keyboard-height measurement is low; verify the exact top and frame combination.
Check the FEZIBO’s higher reported minimum and lower capacity
Tom’s Guide lists a 27.5-inch minimum and 176-pound maximum supported weight for the FEZIBO Electric Standing Desk. Those figures make two checks especially important: whether the desk lowers enough for your seated posture, and whether its rated load accommodates all equipment with headroom. Resolve the E7 Plus configuration before comparing it
The E7 Plus has the highest reported capacity figures among these candidates, but its working and static-load numbers describe different measures and should not be collapsed into one rating. OSHA advises checking that a converter accommodates the size, weight, and quantity of equipment, sits securely, and raises and lowers easily. What a standing desk can—and cannot—promise
