NeNe Leakes has the largest single salary figure in the reports covered here: Cosmopolitan reported that she earned $2.85 million per season by Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. That is an attributed estimate, not a salary confirmed by Bravo. Kandi Burruss is another top earner in published accounts, but reports put her pay at nearly $2 million or $2.3 million per season—and those figures come from different sources.
Bravo has not published an official salary table, and the available reports cover different seasons and contract arrangements. The ranking below is therefore a comparison of reported figures, not a definitive snapshot of what every Housewife earns today.

Highest reported Real Housewives salaries
The amounts below are the highest named figures in the cited reports. They are not directly comparable as a same-season pay list: some are tied to particular seasons, while others lack a specific season in the available account. Each figure is labeled with its attribution and evidence type.
| Reported rank | Housewife and franchise | Reported Bravo pay | Period and basis | Attribution and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NeNe Leakes, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | $2.85 million per season | By Season 12 | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup attributes the estimate to RadarOnline; not confirmed by Bravo. Cosmopolitan |
| 2 | Kandi Burruss, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | Nearly $2 million per season | Season not stated in the account | Us Weekly’s 2025 summary of Brian Moylan’s 2021 book; book-based reporting, not a Bravo disclosure. Us Weekly |
| 3 | Kandi Burruss, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | $2.3 million per season | Season not stated in the account | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup cites Collider for this separate estimate. It differs from Moylan’s nearly $2 million figure and should not be treated as the same report or contract period. Cosmopolitan |
| 4 | Vicki Gunvalson, The Real Housewives of Orange County | $750,000 per season | Season not stated in the account | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup attributes the estimate to RadarOnline; not confirmed by Bravo. Cosmopolitan |
| 5 | Lisa Vanderpump, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills | $500,000 per season | Season not stated in the account | Reported in Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup; the underlying source type and season are not stated there. Cosmopolitan |
| 6 | Heather Dubrow, The Real Housewives of Orange County | $300,000 per season | Season not stated in the account | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup cites Collider; not confirmed by Bravo. Cosmopolitan |
These ranks order the reported amounts, not verified earnings for a common season. In particular, Burruss appears twice because two separate reports give different estimates; the evidence does not establish which, if either, reflects a particular contract year.

What the salary numbers do—and don’t—show
Housewives salaries are generally not public network disclosures. Cast members and entertainment reporters have described contracts as confidential or individually negotiated, while Bravo executive Andy Cohen has said, “We never really talk about contracts and money,” according to Us Weekly.
That makes reported figures useful as clues, but not as audited compensation data. A “per season” estimate may not specify the season, the number of episodes covered, or whether it reflects a fixed fee, episode-based pay, or a negotiated contract package. The cited articles also draw on different kinds of evidence—including cast-member comments, a book, and secondary reports—so the figures should not be combined into a precise league table.

How Housewives pay can change
Accounts from cast members suggest pay can depend on tenure and negotiating leverage, rather than following one public rate card. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Teddi Mellencamp said in August 2025 that first-season Housewives are paid the same, and that pay rises the longer someone remains on the show. These are her descriptions of the structure, not a published Bravo schedule. Us Weekly
Former Real Housewives of New York City cast member Bethenny Frankel described an increase after the first season while noting that cast members can negotiate using the possibility of not returning as leverage. The size and terms of those increases are not established by her comments.

Brian Moylan’s book The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives gives an approximate progression: $60,000 for a first season, $120,000 for a second, around $300,000 for a third, and roughly $300,000–$500,000 thereafter. Reality Blurred summarized those figures in 2026 and noted they may have changed since the book’s 2022 publication. They offer historical context, not a universal scale or current promise of pay. Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup also reports that Bethenny Frankel said her first season of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008 paid $7,250. That is a personal account of one early contract, not a current cast benchmark. Cosmopolitan

Do not confuse these salary estimates with a Housewife’s net worth, business income, endorsement revenue, or other television work. The figures here concern reported Bravo pay only, and the available reporting does not provide a complete, independently verified comparison across franchises.
