South Korean defence-components supplier Digitron has raised approximately KRW 10 billion in a pre-IPO funding round, according to reports published October 1, 2026. The company says it will use the money to expand production facilities and cover operating costs. The round’s US-dollar equivalent varies across reports, so KRW 10 billion is the more consistent way to state the amount.
How much did Digitron raise?
Digitron raised approximately KRW 10 billion in a pre-IPO round reported on October 1, 2026. The dollar conversion is not consistent across coverage: one report gives about US$7.37 million, while another version gives about US$8.38 million. The evidence does not establish one authoritative conversion, so the won-denominated amount is the clearest figure to use.
Six institutional investors participated: SBI Investment, IBK Venture Investment, New Main Capital, Cornerstone Investment Partners, Bestian Partners, and HN Ventures.
What does Digitron make?
Digitron describes itself as a defence electronics and components company. Its stated business areas include guided weapons, surveillance and reconnaissance, avionics, aviation lighting, electronic warfare, and communications. Company materials emphasize radio-frequency (RF) technology and real-time embedded signal processing.
#1 Best Overall
Its catalogue lists specialist equipment such as guided-weapon signal-injection devices, signal-processing boards, and radar receiver circuit cards. These are business-to-business defence components and systems, not consumer products.
Its reported connection to Cheongung-II
Reporting says Digitron supplies core components used in Cheongung-II, a guided missile exported to Middle Eastern countries. The materials available do not identify the specific component or independently establish its role in the missile, so the claim should be understood as reported supply information rather than a detailed technical description.

How Digitron plans to use the funding
The company says proceeds will support production-facility expansion and operating costs. Reports describe the spending as a way to meet existing orders and prepare for future mass-production volumes. The funding announcement does not specify how much will go to each purpose.
What the reported order book and sales target indicate
Digitron was reported to have an order backlog exceeding KRW 100 billion at the end of September 2026. That is a dated company/reporting figure, not a measure of revenue already earned.

Reports also give a 2026 annual sales target above KRW 40 billion. This is a target, not a confirmed full-year result. The backlog and sales target therefore describe different things: orders awaiting fulfillment at a particular date and an intended sales level for the year.

Digitron has named NH Investment & Securities as lead manager and is targeting a KOSDAQ listing in the second half of 2027. That is the company’s target period, not a confirmed listing date or completed IPO. October 1 reports said the timing of a preliminary review filing was still under discussion; the target remains subject to review and subsequent steps.
