The reported deals included fixed prices on five retro-tech frames and a separate 20% code, BF20. Grid Studio now has other sale listings, but those do not mean the 2024 promotion or code is active.
What were the Grid Studio Black Friday 2024 deals?
BGR reported that Grid Studio’s promotion ran from November 26 through December 2, 2024. It combined specific promotional prices with a separate storewide coupon. The prices below are historical offers, not current Black Friday prices.
| Product | Reported 2024 promotion price |
|---|---|
| GRID 1, the original iPhone (iPhone 2G) frame | $299 |
| GRID 4S, the iPhone 4S frame | $99 |
| GRID Game Boy | $179 |
| GRID Game Boy Pocket | $129 |
| GRID Watch 1st Gen, Apple Watch Series 0 | $149 |
BGR’s November 26, 2024 report listed those prices and the promotion dates.
What is the OG iPhone frame?
GRID 1 is a wall-display frame built around a disassembled first-generation iPhone, also called the iPhone 2G. Its arranged components—including sensors, the logic board, cameras and SIM tray—are presented with explanatory labels. It is collector decor, not a working phone, a repairable restoration or a substitute for usable vintage hardware. See Grid Studio’s iPhone collection for its current listing and product details.

How did the BF20 coupon work?
BGR reported that code BF20 offered 20% off storewide during the 2024 promotion, excluding special frames. That code is historical; the available evidence does not establish that it works now. Do not include it in a current purchase budget unless checkout confirms a valid discount.
What does Grid Studio sell beyond Apple frames?
The range is aimed at collectors of both Apple devices and older gaming hardware. Depending on the collection and availability, its catalog includes Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket displays, controllers and consoles associated with Nintendo, PlayStation, Sega and Xbox, as well as Apple Watch, iPod, iPad, Apple-chip and MacBook displays. Nokia and BlackBerry frames also fit the retro-phone theme. Browse the all-products collection for the current catalog; a category listing does not guarantee that a particular frame is in stock.

How to decide whether a frame is worth buying
- For an Apple collector: GRID 1 has the strongest historical pull, but its observed $299 sale listing is still a substantial decor purchase.
- For a retro-gaming fan: Compare the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket and controller or console displays against the systems you actually collect; their observed prices and availability differ.
- For a gift: A lower-cost item such as the enamel pin may be easier to budget for than a large display, while a frame is a more personal choice tied to the recipient’s favorite device.
- For a working-device buyer: Shop for functioning vintage hardware instead. A display frame is not a usable device or repair donor, and used hardware brings its own condition and battery considerations.
- Before ordering: Check the frame’s dimensions, depth and mounting details on its product page, as well as stock and destination-specific shipping terms. The official U.S. warehouse collection is at gridstudio.cc/collections/us-warehouse.
These are specialized display objects, not evidence of official merchandise from Apple, Nintendo, Sony, Sega or Microsoft. If the price or format is not right, a DIY shadow box using a device you already own or standard tech-themed wall art may better suit a budget decor project; a DIY build requires careful handling of batteries and components.
