That works out to up to $240 per qualifying line before tax, but it was a dated offer—not a permanent price and not necessarily a guarantee that Rogers would freeze the underlying plan rate. Contemporary coverage also reported that the specific Premium promotion excluded Quebec. Rogers now markets its consumer lineup mainly as 5G+ plans, so treat the Infinite offer as historical unless your current written quote confirms it.
What the Rogers Infinite discount actually was
Contemporary Canadian coverage published on August 30, 2023, reported that Rogers advertised $10 off per month for 24 months on eligible 5G Infinite Premium plans. The report described the offer as applying to selected plans rather than every Infinite customer and noted a Quebec exclusion for that specific promotion. The credit was for mobile service. It was not automatically the same as a phone bill credit, trade-in value, Save & Return credit, bundle discount or Auto-Pay reduction. Those incentives can have different eligibility rules and can appear as separate lines on a bill.

The $240 figure is a calculation from the reported $10 monthly credit. Your actual saving depends on the number of eligible lines, the offer terms, taxes and whether the credit continues through any plan or account change.

Who could qualify?
Eligibility belonged to the specific campaign, account and region. Do not assume that every existing Rogers customer, BYOD customer or device-financing customer received the same deal.
- Plan: The reported offer covered eligible 5G Infinite Premium plans, not all Infinite tiers.
- Region: The August 2023 report said the Premium discount excluded Quebec. Rogers pricing and availability can also vary by province and market.
- Customer status: Some campaigns were aimed at new activations or new lines; others were targeted at existing customers, additional lines or partner-program members.
- Home service: Internet or TV bundling could create a separate saving, subject to its own conditions.
- Auto-Pay: Rogers’ legal terms say a $10 monthly Auto-Pay discount is available only on eligible in-market consumer Infinite and 5G mobile plans, is not retroactive and ends when Auto-Pay is cancelled or the customer moves to an ineligible plan. Read the terms at Rogers’ legal page.
- Partner offers: Preferred, employee or association portals can impose additional activation, tenure or remaining-term rules. For example, published Rogers partner terms have restricted some 24-month offers for existing customers with six months or less left on a term plan; those rules do not automatically apply to every Rogers promotion.
BYOD status, phone financing and an additional-line activation therefore need to be confirmed in the offer itself. A sales representative should state whether the credit applies to every line or only the newly activated one.

A discount is not a price lock
A promotional credit and a price guarantee protect different things. Rogers may continue a $10 credit while changing the plan’s underlying monthly fee, so the bill can rise during the 24-month period even though the credit remains listed.
When reviewing an order confirmation or service agreement, look for the exact phrases:

- “Monthly service fee discount” and “for 24 months.”
- “Price guarantee” or language saying the fee is subject to rate increases.
- “Discount ends if you change plans,” cancel Auto-Pay or remove a required home-service relationship.
- “New activations only” or other customer-status restrictions.
Rogers currently advertises a separate five-year price guarantee on selected 5G+ plans, demonstrating that a price-protection feature is distinct from an ordinary promotional credit. The current plan page is rogers.com/plans.
What happens after month 24?
Unless the written offer says otherwise, the $10 credit ends after its 24-month term. The service then bills at the plan’s regular price in effect at that time. That creates a month-25 cost increase even if nothing else changes.

- Device financing: A phone balance is separate from the mobile-service credit. Early cancellation or an ineligible plan change can make the remaining balance payable.
- Tablet or smartwatch lines: A temporary credit can end while the regular connected-device fee begins. Rogers’ current smartwatch terms describe a $15 monthly credit for 24 months on qualifying plans, followed by regular fees; see Rogers’ smartwatch page.
- Bundle savings: Cancelling Rogers Internet or TV can remove a separate mobile bundle discount.
- Auto-Pay: Changing the payment method or losing eligibility can remove the Auto-Pay credit.
- Plan changes: Downgrading or moving to an ineligible plan can terminate a promotion before its nominal expiry.
Set a reminder several weeks before the stated expiry date and check the month-25 price in writing rather than relying on the launch price.
How to calculate the real cost
Build the bill from its separate components instead of multiplying the advertised price by 24:

- Write down the base monthly service fee shown in the agreement.
- Subtract the Infinite promotional credit, if the document lists one.
- Subtract Auto-Pay and Internet/TV bundle credits only when you independently meet their conditions.
- Add device-financing, Save & Return or other hardware charges.
- Apply the applicable provincial taxes and one-time activation or setup fees.
- Calculate months 1–24, then calculate month 25 onward using the regular service price and any remaining device or connected-device charges.
Do not combine the $240 service-credit calculation with Auto-Pay, multi-line, bundle or device credits unless your written terms expressly allow the discounts to stack. Taxes may also differ depending on how the bill displays discounted service and taxable hardware.

It can make sense when
- You expect to keep the qualifying line for the entire 24 months.
- The plan’s data, U.S. roaming or other included features justify its price over a lower tier.
- You already have Rogers Internet or TV and qualify for a separate bundle saving.
- You understand the regular month-25 price and have no likely early cancellation or upgrade.
It is a weaker fit when
- You expect the discounted price to be permanent.
- You may move, cancel or change plans before 24 months.
- The discount requires a premium tier that exceeds your data needs.
- You are in an excluded region or the offer is restricted to a partner portal or targeted account.
- A lower-cost BYOD, prepaid or regional plan meets your coverage and data requirements.
- The phone deal includes a return obligation or a balance you could not comfortably pay if you leave early.
Questions to ask before accepting the offer
- Is the discount for service, the device, or both?
- Is it available to an existing customer, a new activation, an added line, or only a particular account?
- Does it apply to every line or only one newly activated line?
- Does it survive a plan change, device upgrade, Auto-Pay cancellation or loss of home service?
- Can Rogers raise the underlying plan fee during the 24 months?
- What exact monthly price starts in month 25?
- Is Auto-Pay required, and which payment methods qualify?
- Is there a Save & Return, trade-in or device-return obligation?
- What balance becomes payable if you cancel early?
How to verify and protect the credit
- Save the offer page, email, chat transcript and checkout screen before activation.
- Read the service agreement and plan-change confirmation for the credit amount, duration, eligible line and expiry date.
- Compare the first and second bills with those documents; billing cycles can delay the first appearance of a credit.
- If the credit is missing, keep the records, check the activation date and contact Rogers before changing the plan. Request an interaction or case number.
- On every bill, compare the base plan fee, promotional credit, Auto-Pay credit, bundle credit, taxes and device financing separately.
Historical Infinite branding versus Rogers’ current 5G+ plans
Rogers’ current consumer pages use 5G+ branding rather than the older 5G Infinite names. On August 16, 2026, the public plan page displayed 5G+ Lite at $55 per month and 5G+ Essentials at $60 per month under displayed qualifying home-service and Auto-Pay conditions, with pricing dependent on region, line count, home-service relationship and BYOD status. Rogers also advertised savings of up to $10 per month when mobile is combined with Internet or TV. See the current Rogers plans page.
Those figures are current 5G+ offers, not proof that the historical Infinite promotion remains available. Rogers’ current device promotions separately list 24-month financing, bill credits, trade-in and Save & Return conditions at rogers.com/promotions/wireless.
Other Rogers programs to check
Customers who do not qualify for a targeted Infinite promotion can compare ordinary BYOD and prepaid offers, regional carriers and competing networks using current prices. Eligible households may also review Rogers Connected for Success, a lower-cost program with its own qualification rules; it is not a direct substitute for a premium Infinite or 5G+ plan.
