Insight Enterprises announced on May 1, 2024, that it had acquired Infocenter, a ServiceNow Elite Partner named the 2024 ServiceNow Americas Consulting and Implementation Partner of the Year. The purchase price was not disclosed. ServiceNow chairman and CEO Bill McDermott publicly endorsed the combination, signaling ecosystem support rather than ServiceNow ownership, financing or operational control.
What Insight acquired
Infocenter was a pure-play ServiceNow consultancy providing strategy, professional services, implementation, application development and managed services. Insight said the business would be integrated into its Solutions Integrator framework. The formal announcement is available from Insight.

|---|---|
| Announcement | May 1, 2024 |
| Buyer | Insight Enterprises, Inc. |
| Acquired company | Infocenter |
| Infocenter status | ServiceNow Elite Partner |
| Recognition | 2024 ServiceNow Americas Consulting and Implementation Partner of the Year |
| Purchase price | Not disclosed |
| Integration destination | Insight’s Solutions Integrator framework |
The deal followed Insight’s acquisition of Google Cloud partner SADA for $410 million, according to CRN. That context places Infocenter within a broader effort to add specialist platform and cloud capabilities, although the two transaction values cannot be compared because Infocenter’s price was not published.
Why Infocenter was strategically valuable
Insight brought Fortune 500 scale and capabilities spanning multicloud, infrastructure, data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and technology procurement. Infocenter brought concentrated ServiceNow expertise, packaged offerings, platform certifications and industry experience in healthcare and life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, telecom, technology, business services and IT services.

#1 Best Overall
Its coverage included IT, asset, employee, customer, creator and industry solutions. That combination matters because a large ServiceNow program often extends beyond configuring a SaaS platform. Customers may also need cloud architecture, identity and security, data integration, application modernization, workflow governance, change management and ongoing operations.
Infocenter’s service model
- RADIUS: business-process analysis, planning and roadmap work.
- Professional services: implementation and custom ServiceNow work, including fixed-fee engagements in Infocenter’s historical materials.
- DEVSHOP: managed capacity and continuous improvement.
- AppFactory: custom applications built with ServiceNow App Engine.
- Phoenix: a sales- and quoting-related application described in Infocenter’s service materials.
Descriptions of these offerings appear on Infocenter’s service page. Public materials do not establish that every product, employee or commercial term remained unchanged after the acquisition.
Why Bill McDermott weighed in
McDermott’s endorsement is notable because ServiceNow was not the buyer. His comments emphasized business transformation, artificial intelligence, workflow automation, cross-enterprise experiences and value for mutual customers. ServiceNow partnership executive Erica Volini similarly described the combination as a way to strengthen the ecosystem and help organizations use the platform to create innovation and value; her comments were reproduced in Infocenter’s announcement.
The practical interpretation is ecosystem support. ServiceNow depends on capable partners to implement, integrate, extend and operate its platform for enterprise customers. McDermott’s statement does not show that ServiceNow financed, required, approved in a regulatory sense or guaranteed the transaction’s results.

What the executives said
Joyce Mullen, Insight CEO and president
Mullen framed workflow automation as a business necessity and positioned the combination around unified enterprise experiences and AI-fueled automation. The language describes the acquisition’s strategic objective, not a measured post-deal performance result.
Michael Vadini, Infocenter CEO
Vadini said Infocenter would augment Insight’s ability to architect, deliver and manage enterprise-wide transformation. He highlighted alignment between Infocenter’s “plan, build and manage” model and Insight’s modernization strategy.
Rank #3
Bill McDermott and Erica Volini
Both ServiceNow executives presented the deal as beneficial to the partner ecosystem and mutual customers. Their support should not be read as a promise about delivery speed, cost, satisfaction, uptime or financial returns.
What customers could realistically expect
The intended customer benefit was a broader transformation provider: ServiceNow specialists alongside Insight’s cloud, infrastructure, data, AI and security resources. In suitable programs, that could simplify work connecting ServiceNow workflows to systems outside the platform and provide a path from planning through implementation and managed operations.
Those are strategic objectives, not proven outcomes. The acquisition announcement does not establish faster projects, lower fees, higher satisfaction, improved uptime, specific headcount growth, revenue synergies or guaranteed access to particular Infocenter personnel. It also did not change ServiceNow licensing prices.
Rank #4
Current position in 2026
As of August 18, 2026, Insight presents Infocenter as an Insight company rather than an independent standalone provider. Insight’s current ServiceNow services page markets consulting, implementation, optimization and lifecycle support at global scale and cites a 2026 ServiceNow Service Provider Rising Star recognition, in addition to the 2024 award associated with Infocenter. These are current company-published positioning claims, not an independent measurement of every customer engagement.
How to evaluate Insight for a ServiceNow program
Check product and platform depth
Request current, module-specific evidence for the products in scope, such as ITSM, ITOM, Customer Service Management, HR Service Delivery, Strategic Portfolio Management, Integrated Risk Management, Security Operations, App Engine, asset management and the CMDB. Confirm the certifications and experience of the actual proposed team, not only the parent company’s credentials.
Clarify the commercial model
Ask whether the work is fixed-fee, time-and-materials, milestone-based, managed-service subscription or hybrid. Infocenter’s historical materials promoted fixed-fee services and DEVSHOP, but public materials do not publish current rates.
Best Value
Test integration complexity
Insight may fit programs spanning ServiceNow and hyperscale cloud, security, data, infrastructure modernization, procurement or enterprise AI. A smaller specialist may be preferable for a narrowly scoped implementation where low organizational overhead and direct executive access matter more than broad capabilities.
Define managed-services obligations
- Is support 24/7, and which time zones are covered?
- Are enhancement hours and emergency changes included?
- Who handles release upgrades, technical debt and backlog governance?
- What service levels and escalation paths apply?
Protect team continuity
Request named architects and delivery leads, their current employer and certifications, retention information, references from pre- and post-acquisition engagements, documentation ownership and a transition plan if personnel change.

| Potential advantage | Possible trade-off |
|---|---|
| Greater geographic and delivery scale | More layers, formal processes and account-management overhead |
| Access to cloud, infrastructure, data and security specialists | Separate teams may handle licensing, implementation, security and managed services |
| One provider for more of the lifecycle | Scope can expand into a larger and more expensive transformation |
| ServiceNow specialist expertise | A boutique culture or speed may change after integration |
Risks buyers should manage
- Replacing tickets without redesigning the underlying process.
- Heavy customization instead of maintainable standard workflows.
- Automating poor processes or using ungoverned data.
- Unclear CMDB ownership and data quality responsibilities.
- Underestimated integration, adoption and change-management work.
- Assuming AI creates savings without human review, security controls and measurable baselines.
- Buying licenses before defining the operating model and long-term enhancement demand.
What remains unknown
- The purchase price and valuation.
- Revenue contribution, synergy targets and payback expectations.
- Employee-retention and customer-retention figures.
- Post-acquisition delivery performance and satisfaction.
- Whether every Infocenter offering and employee continued unchanged.
For a serious buying decision, request a scoped assessment from Insight and compare it with at least one ServiceNow specialist and one large independent systems integrator. Keep platform licensing, implementation fees, integration assumptions, managed-service SLAs and upgrade pricing as separate line items.
The Bottom Line
Insight’s 2024 Infocenter acquisition combined a broad technology integrator with a recognized ServiceNow specialist. McDermott’s endorsement signals confidence in that ecosystem combination, but it is not proof of financial or delivery results. Buyers should judge the combined provider on the named team, module experience, integration plan, commercial terms and measurable post-go-live obligations.
