The headline price was conditional, however. Videotron’s archived page showed a $50 base rate; the approximately $35-per-line result depended on qualifying multiservice and multiline discounts. The promotion was reported on November 19, 2025, and should be treated as historical unless Videotron’s live checkout currently shows a renewed offer.
What the $35/75GB promotion included
The advertised plan provided 75GB of data usable in Canada and the United States, plus:
- Unlimited calling and texting in Canada and the U.S.
- No-commitment service.
- Call display and voicemail.
- Unlimited Wi-Fi Calling in 120 countries, subject to compatible-device and service restrictions.
- 5G and 5G+ access where available with a compatible device.
MobileSyrup reported the offer as part of Videotron’s Black Frivember campaign on November 19, 2025: the original promotion report.
How Videotron reached the $35 price
The archived Videotron User Centre page listed the 75GB Canada–U.S. plan at $50 per month before discounts. Its terms described a $10-per-line multiservice discount for eligible customers who also subscribed to Videotron Internet, and a $5-per-line multiline discount when at least two eligible mobile lines were on one account.

The published material does not establish that every new or existing customer qualified, that the promotion was available in every province, or that it could be combined with phone financing, student or accessibility offers, retention credits, or other promotions. Existing customers should confirm whether a plan change would remove a grandfathered rate or device credit. Credit approval and address-level availability may also apply.
What the advertised monthly figure did not cover
- Sales taxes and government charges, including applicable 911 fees.
- Device-financing payments, if a phone was purchased on installments.
- Activation or device-change fees unless a specific promotion waived or credited them.
- Roaming outside the plan’s supported Canada–U.S. usage, including unsupported partner networks, cruise ships and offshore service.
- Optional add-ons and data overage or other out-of-plan charges.
Videotron listed a standard $70 activation fee per transaction in its terms, with promotional waivers or credits available for qualifying orders. A credit may appear on a later bill rather than reduce the checkout total.

Does “price for life” make the $35 permanent?
Videotron’s price-for-life language protected the eligible plan’s base rate while the customer maintained the subscription. It did not promise that every discount or the total bill could never change. Taxes, 911 charges, roaming, add-ons, device payments, activation fees, credits and other out-of-plan costs were outside that base-rate promise. Read the applicable terms at Videotron’s Price for Life page.
Is the promotion still available?
Status check: the documented offer was a Black Friday 2025 promotion. The latest archived information available for this article (August 18, 2026) does not prove that new customers can still order it at $35. Videotron’s archived pages continue to label the plan as a Black Frivember offer, but an archive is not a live signup confirmation.

Other Videotron Black Friday 2025 offers
The same campaign included discounted Samsung Galaxy S25-series phones, iPhone 17 and iPhone 16 models, Google Pixel 10 devices, Internet and TV bundle discounts, and a reported 150GB Canada–U.S. plan advertised at $45 per month with a $50 credit. These were campaign details from 2025, not evidence of current pricing. MobileSyrup’s report and iPhone in Canada’s summary describe those offers.

How to judge the deal against other carriers
A 75GB allowance is only one part of the value. Contemporary Canadian comparisons included Public Mobile, Freedom Mobile, Koodo, Fido and Virgin Plus, each with different prices, coverage and conditions. MobileSyrup’s comparison is available at its 2025 carrier-deal roundup.
| Question | Why it changes the result |
|---|---|
| Do you need Canada–U.S. or Canada-only service? | A cheaper Canada-only plan may be better if you rarely cross the border. |
| Do you need Mexico roaming? | The 75GB offer was Canada–U.S.; Mexico access requires a different product or add-on. |
| Can you obtain reliable coverage? | Videotron and partner-network coverage, 5G availability and performance vary by location and device. |
| Do you already have Videotron Internet? | Without it, the $10 multiservice reduction may not apply. |
| Can you use two or more lines? | A single-line account may miss the $5 multiline discount. |
| Are you financing a phone? | The device installment is added to the service price. |
| How long will you stay in the U.S.? | Temporary travel, extended stays, partner-network use and fair-use rules are not identical. |
Videotron’s coverage and plan terms state that 5G and 5G+ depend on location, network availability and device compatibility. Check the coverage map for your home, workplace and regular routes before ordering.
Canada–U.S. usage: questions frequent travellers should ask
“Canada–U.S.” does not automatically mean unrestricted U.S. residency or indefinite roaming. Verify, in the exact plan agreement:
- Whether data, calls and texts are included while physically in the U.S.
- Whether calls from Canada to U.S. numbers are covered.
- Which U.S. partner networks are supported.
- Whether extended stays trigger fair-use limits or suspension.
- Whether cruise-ship and offshore connections are excluded.
A 120-day-per-year limit appears in Videotron’s terms for a Canada–U.S.–Mexico product, but that specific limit should not be automatically applied to the 75GB Canada–U.S. promotion. Snowbirds and cross-border workers should obtain the 75GB plan’s own agreement before relying on it for several months abroad. Related terms are published at Videotron’s North American plan page.
Who benefited most—and who did not
Best fit
- Videotron Internet customers who could place at least two mobile lines on one account.
- Households needing regular Canada–U.S. calling, texting and data.
- Bring-your-own-device customers with compatible 4G/5G, VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling support.
Less attractive fit
- Single-line customers without Videotron Internet, for whom the base rate was closer to $50 before taxes.
- Customers who need Mexico roaming or spend long, uninterrupted periods in the United States.
- People outside dependable Videotron or partner coverage.
- Anyone switching only for the discount while giving up a cheaper home-Internet plan or valuable grandfathered mobile benefits.
Bottom line
The Videotron Black Friday 2025 promotion was genuine: 75GB of Canada–U.S. data was advertised at as little as $35 per month. The archived plan’s $50 base rate, $10 Internet-bundle discount and $5 multiline discount explain how that figure could be reached. It was not a universal one-line price, and the documented sale should not be treated as current without confirmation on Videotron’s live checkout page.
