Haynes Furniture and The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets announced on October 8, 2026, that both retailers will close permanently. Going-out-of-business sales began at 10 a.m. that day, according to liquidation operator SB360 Capital Partners. Its announcement lists 12 stores in five states. It does not provide each store’s final day or guarantee that any particular item, price, or customer-service term will be available.
What the closure announcement says
SB360 Capital Partners announced the permanent closures on October 8, 2026, and said the going-out-of-business sales had started at 10 a.m. The announcement covers both Haynes Furniture and The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets. This updates a September 10 report from Furniture Today, which described a planned wind-down of The Dump locations outside Virginia; the later announcement names permanent closure for both brands and lists all 12 stores.
SB360 Executive Chairman E.J. Strelitz described the decision as “a bittersweet ending, filled with gratitude for four generations of customers and employees.” He also said, “Yes, Virginia, we are going out of business and closing forever.”

What may be on sale—and what is not guaranteed
SB360 says the liquidation includes brand-name furniture, mattresses, and rugs, with further markdowns during the sales. That describes sale categories, not guaranteed stock or a specific price at a particular store. Inventory and prices can vary as items sell and liquidation activity progresses.
The operator says The Dump opened in March 2005 and describes its former outlet model as sourcing closeouts, overstocks, canceled orders, and designer samples. Its stated historical discount range of 40% to 80% off “established prices” refers to that outlet model; it is not a verified markdown on current liquidation merchandise.

SB360 frames the closure as the end of a 128-year Haynes family retail legacy. Haynes’s website, however, displayed “After 125 years” when accessed. The available public sources do not independently establish the exact founding year, so 128 years is best understood as the announcement’s description rather than a separately confirmed date.
