Samsung has said it signed agreements with customers for 2027 high-bandwidth memory (HBM) supply. The public disclosure cited here does not name those customers or say what share of Samsung’s total 2027 memory output is covered. That means the claim that NVIDIA, Google and Microsoft are confirmed counterparties—or that most of Samsung’s memory supply is already committed—goes beyond what the available evidence establishes.
What Samsung has disclosed about 2027 supply
In a transcript of Samsung’s July 30, 2026 second-quarter earnings call, a memory-business representative referred to HBM supply agreements already signed with customers for 2027. Samsung’s first-quarter investor report said it planned to expand HBM4 supply to major customers. Its conference presentation also listed HBM4 alongside products such as DDR5 RDIMM, SOCAMM2 and V9 eSSD. Are NVIDIA, Google and Microsoft confirmed buyers?
Not in the public evidence cited here. Samsung’s 2027 HBM statement refers to customers without naming them, and the reviewed sources do not confirm NVIDIA, Google and Microsoft as counterparties to those agreements.

The Associated Press reported that Samsung memory-chip executive Kim Jaejune said the company had secured long-term contracts with five major global data-center clients, also without naming them. Why an HBM agreement does not mean all memory is sold out
HBM is a specific memory category. Samsung’s product materials also discuss conventional and server-oriented memory, including DDR5 RDIMM, as well as other products. An agreement for HBM therefore cannot be treated as evidence that all of Samsung’s memory output—or any particular share of its total output—is committed.

The sources reviewed provide no verified percentage of total 2027 memory production covered by agreements and no complete schedule of contract terms by product. “Has 2027 HBM agreements” is supported; “has sold out most 2027 memory supply” is not established by these disclosures.
What multi-year contracts and shortage forecasts tell us
Samsung’s contracting strategy
Reuters reported in March 2026 that co-CEO Jun Young-hyun said Samsung was working with major customers to move toward contracts lasting three to five years. That describes a contracting strategy reported at that time; it does not show that every agreement has that duration or identify NVIDIA, Google and Microsoft as the customers involved. To establish that Samsung’s 2027 memory supply is largely covered by agreements with specific companies, a disclosure would need to identify the counterparties, define which memory products and period the agreements cover, and quantify the share of relevant output committed. The public statements cited here do not provide those details.
