Two clubs’ official announcements provide adult prices, but the other 22 prices—and a consistent basis for comparing all 24—are not established here.
Why there is no verified 24-club ranking
An indexed article dated 23 July 2025 describes a comparison of each Championship club’s cheapest adult season ticket, ordered from highest to lowest, but its accessible page does not show the club-by-club prices or ranking entries (Football League World, 23 July 2025). Without comparable figures for all 24 clubs, positions, league-wide averages, and the highest and lowest prices cannot be verified.
The relevant comparison covers the 24 clubs in the 2025/26 EFL Championship (EFL, 2025/26 fixtures release). The figures that are available are useful, but they do not establish a league-wide order.
Official adult prices established here
| Club | 2025/26 price | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| Swansea City | £459 | Standard adult season ticket on general sale, stated by the club on 5 September 2025 (club announcement). |
| West Bromwich Albion | From £439 | Starting adult season-ticket price, stated by the club on 21 July 2025 (club announcement). |
| Other 22 clubs | Not stated | No comparable 2025/26 adult price is established here. |
These are not directly comparable minimums: Swansea’s figure is a standard adult general-sale price, while West Brom’s is a starting price. The available announcements do not establish matching seat, eligibility, and sale-stage conditions for both figures.

Why a season ticket price depends on when and where you buy
Swansea’s launch price was different
When Swansea announced its 2025/26 season tickets on 12 December 2024, it listed £411 for a standard adult ticket (club launch announcement). Its later general-sale announcement gave £459. The difference makes the sale stage essential context: a launch or renewal price should not be presented as though it were necessarily the price available to a new buyer later.
The lowest price may have conditions
A club’s cheapest adult ticket can depend on its sale phase, stand or seat, and eligibility rules. A fair comparison needs to state those conditions for each club and confirm that the quoted price was available to the buyer category being compared. Comparing a restricted early offer at one club with a general-sale minimum at another can produce a misleading ranking.

What a defensible ranking would need
A complete high-to-low list needs a documented 2025/26 adult price for each of the 24 clubs, collected on a consistent basis. For every entry, the comparison should identify the adult category, sale phase, seat or stand conditions, eligibility restrictions, and whether the ticket was available to new buyers. The source and date should also be clear, because ticket offers can change over a season.
Swansea’s December 2024 launch announcement said its £411 adult price was “£91.67 below” the league average. That is the club’s own comparison, not an independently verified league-wide statistic in the available figures. Swansea chairman Andy Coleman also said the club had “decided to defy inflation and freeze season ticket prices” (club announcement).
