When did Terry Boyle leave Zulily?
Boyle left the operating retailer at the end of October 2023, the Associated Press reported on December 27, 2023. He had become Zulily’s president and CEO on March 14, 2022, according to Qurate’s appointment announcement.

That announcement described Boyle’s prior leadership experience at HauteLook, Nordstromrack.com, and Trunk Club. Qurate CEO David L. Rawlinson II said Boyle brought “a blend of deep retail, brand and ecommerce experience, a track record of driving growth, and entrepreneurial instincts.”
Why did Boyle leave, and who replaced him?
The cited reporting establishes when Boyle left, but not his personal reason for departing. It also does not identify a direct successor to him as Zulily CEO before the retailer’s liquidation. Zulily’s financial difficulties and the timing of the exit are relevant context, but they do not establish Boyle’s motive.

What happened to Zulily after Boyle left?
Regent acquired Zulily from Qurate in May 2023. Qurate’s sale announcement thanked Boyle and the Zulily team for their work at the time of the transaction.
In December 2023, Zulily announced it was closing. The AP reported that it entered liquidation through an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors, a wind-down process in which assets are transferred to a trust for creditors. The closure concerned the operating retailer; later transactions involving Zulily’s name and selected intellectual property did not mean that original business continued uninterrupted.

How did Zulily’s brand assets change hands?
The later transactions involved selected brand and intellectual-property rights, not a continuation of the retailer’s original operations. The distinction matters when interpreting reports that the Zulily name was acquired or might return.

Where did Terry Boyle go after Zulily?
Boyle was named CEO of Trove, effective June 17, 2024, according to the company’s May 2024 announcement. Trove describes its business as branded resale and trade-in commerce for brand partners. That appointment is a later career move, not an explanation for his departure from Zulily; the announcement does not establish his present-day tenure.
