The latest Ténéré 700 with detailed specifications in the sources available here is the 2025 model. Yamaha lists its 689 cm³ twin at 54 kW and describes a suite of new electronic controls, but the published ¥1,474,000 price applies to Japan—not the United States. A current U.S. vehicle price is not established here.
What changed on the 2025 Yamaha Ténéré 700?
Yamaha’s 2025 update adds electronic throttle control and rider aids, revises suspension and rider ergonomics, and replaces the earlier instrument display with a vertical color TFT. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test findings.
- YCC-T throttle: Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle enables selectable SPORT and EXPLORER power modes, as well as traction control. Yamaha describes SPORT as sharper and more responsive, and EXPLORER as more relaxed. The company says intake changes aim to improve low-rpm torque and low-speed off-road capability.
- ABS settings: Yamaha’s technical review describes ABS on, rear ABS off, and ABS off. Controls and availability can vary by market; consult the owner’s manual for the specific motorcycle.
- Chassis and fit: Yamaha says the front and rear suspension were optimized. A one-piece flat seat and revised tank shape are intended to give the rider more room to move.
- Display: The 2025 model has a 6.3-inch vertical full-color TFT display with connectivity functions, according to Yamaha.

Seat height and the Japanese Low package
Yamaha Motor Sales Japan’s 2025 Low package combines a lower seat and a lowering link. Yamaha says the seat lowers the height by about 15 mm and the link by about 15 mm more, for about 30 mm total compared with the standard model. The company cautions that fitting the link changes suspension characteristics, so the reduction is not a no-trade-off adjustment or a universal fitment specification.
Where to find Ténéré 700 photos

Treat them as Yamaha press images, and verify the pictured market and model year before using a caption that identifies a particular trim or color. Listings establish that those catalog items exist, but prices and inventory can change. Confirm compatibility by model year and VIN before ordering; accessory fitment does not establish the motorcycle’s vehicle price or improve engine performance.
