At GDC 2025, Xsolla presented a broad set of game-commerce services spanning direct sales, payments, cloud access, player rewards, and creator marketing. Its March 13 announcement described what the company planned to show, not an independently tested comparison or a current feature inventory.

What Xsolla said it would show at GDC 2025

Xsolla’s March 13, 2025 announcement grouped its offerings around helping developers sell directly to players, reach new markets, and support player acquisition and engagement. The company said it would exhibit at booth WL1-2 in the Moscone West lobby from March 17–21, hold an open house at The Howard during GDC week, and sponsor Day of the Devs on March 16. Those event dates have passed.

Chris Hewish, Xsolla’s chief strategy officer, said: “At Xsolla, we’re focused on breaking down the barriers that prevent developers from transforming their ideas into successful businesses,” and added, “GDC is a key opportunity to connect with game creators and demonstrate how our solutions streamline game commerce, from launching a game to entering new markets and driving revenue growth.”

Direct-to-consumer sales and payment reach

Web Shop

Xsolla said it had launched more than 500 Web Shops and introduced real-time behavior-based personalization, progressive web apps, automated regional pricing, and a customizable loyalty program. The company said the features offered an opportunity to increase customer lifetime value by up to 30 percent. Both the shop count and potential uplift are Xsolla-reported figures; the announcement did not provide independent validation or a study design.

Publishing Suite

The Publishing Suite was presented as a direct-to-consumer commerce offering for game keys, pre-orders, and in-game content. Xsolla described web and in-game commerce integration, cross-platform purchasing, and built-in marketing and analytics. The announcement described the offer but did not provide pricing, implementation requirements, or comparative performance evidence.

Payments in the MENA region

Xsolla reported expanded payment coverage in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, and Jordan, adding 11 localized payment methods. It said its payment network reached 380 million gamers and included more than 1,000 payment methods globally. These are company-reported scale figures in the announcement, not independently verified measurements.

Cloud gaming and player engagement

Cloud Gaming

The announced cloud-gaming tools included time-limited “Play Before Your Buy” demos and the ability to play PC games in a mobile browser using a virtual-controller overlay. Xsolla named Amazon AWS and Tencent Cloud as integrated vendors. It also said it had partnered with Aethir on a $1 million cloud-credit grant for developers; the announcement did not detail eligibility or terms.

Loyalty, Offerwall, and Gold Gift Card

Xsolla described loyalty features such as cashback, cross-title programs, and tier-based incentives. Its Offerwall lets players earn in-game rewards by completing advertiser tasks and supports cost-per-install (CPI), cost-per-action (CPA), and cost-per-click (CPC) models. Xsolla claimed developers could receive up to 90 percent revenue share, without specifying terms or eligibility.

The company also described Gold Gift Cards in physical and digital formats, with cross-platform redemption. The announcement did not establish Amazon availability for the cards or present them as a central developer tool.

Integrations and creator marketing

Xsolla named G-Core, Game Analytics, Adikteev, and AppsFlyer as pre-integrated ecosystem partners. It also described creator-marketing tools connected with Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, including creator discovery, promotional codes, game-key distribution, and creator storefronts. Naming a platform or partner does not establish current availability, commercial terms, an affiliate relationship, or a referral offer.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish

Taken together, the offerings covered several parts of a developer’s commercial stack rather than one standalone product launch. Web Shop, Publishing Suite, and localized payments were positioned around direct sales and market access; cloud demos and Offerwall were positioned around acquisition or engagement; loyalty and creator tools addressed retention and promotion.

The announcement is useful as a record of what Xsolla said it would present in March 2025. It does not establish current product availability, pricing, integration effort, contractual terms, independent results, or how these services compare with alternatives. Developers evaluating a service would need to verify those details for their game, platform, target markets, and business model.
