Wyckoff 2.0 is an advanced, Portuguese-language trading book by Rubén Villahermosa Chaves, published under the full title Wyckoff 2.0: Estruturas, Volume Profile e Order Flow. It combines classic Wyckoff market-structure analysis with Volume Profile and Order Flow tools. It is not a general introduction to investing, it assumes some Wyckoff background, and the author’s own descriptions of its methods are not independently tested. The author’s page offers a 221-page paperback and a separate instant-download PDF, while a user-uploaded copy on Scribd carries a rights notice and should not be treated as an authorized edition.
What “Wyckoff 2.0” means
“Wyckoff 2.0” is the author’s label for integrating the traditional Wyckoff framework, which reads market structure and the behaviour of large participants through price and volume, with two more granular toolsets: Volume Profile, which shows how trading activity distributed across price levels, and Order Flow, which examines the transactions taking place at those levels. The label describes the book’s approach. It is not a recognised standard or a formal extension of Wyckoff’s original work.
What the book covers
The author’s outline runs in six parts: the trading ecosystem, volume, Volume Profile, Order Flow, integration with Wyckoff structures, and market case studies. The three analytical layers do different jobs, and it helps to keep them separate when reading:
| Layer | Role in the book’s framework | Concepts named on the author’s page |
|---|---|---|
| Wyckoff structure | Supplies market context and structural framing | Wyckoff structures, integrated with the other two layers in the closing sections |
| Volume Profile | Maps where trading activity accumulated across price | Point of Control (POC), Value Area, High Volume Nodes (HVN), Low Volume Nodes (LVN), and session, range and composite profiles |
| Order Flow | Examines transaction flow at and around price levels | Footprint charts, delta and cumulative delta, absorption, exhaustion, and imbalances |
The author’s page says Volume Profile and Order Flow are especially useful intraday, while also describing application to higher time horizons. It lists examples including the S&P 500, Nasdaq, EUR/USD and cryptocurrencies. Those are the author’s descriptions of the material, not evidence that the approach performs well in any market.

Who the book suits and what to read first
The book is written for readers who already understand Wyckoff analysis. The author recommends familiarity with the method and describes his earlier Wyckoff book as helpful rather than strictly required.
- Good fit: traders who already read price structure and want to add volume-distribution and transaction-flow context.
- Possible gap: readers new to Wyckoff may need an introductory source first, or the earlier book, before the Volume Profile and Order Flow chapters will make sense.
- Not a fit: anyone looking for long-term investing, portfolio construction or personal-finance planning. The subject is short-horizon market analysis.
Formats and where to find a legitimate copy
Three versions appear in the material reviewed, and they are not interchangeable:
Rank #2
| Version | Where it appears | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Portuguese paperback | Author’s product page (Trading Wyckoff), with links to Amazon Portugal and Amazon Brazil | 221 pages, according to the author’s page. Price and stock vary by marketplace and date, so check the listing before buying. |
| Instant-download PDF | Author’s product page, listed separately from the paperback | Sold as a distinct digital format. Confirm current price and terms on the author’s page. |
| User-uploaded PDF | Scribd document titled “Wyckoff 2.0 Português” | Uploaded by a user labelled “Gustavo”, shows 342 pages, displays “All Rights Reserved”, and reproduces a 2021 copyright notice naming Rubén Villahermosa Chaves. Nothing on the page shows the upload was authorized. |
The page-count gap between 221 pages and 342 pages is not explained by the material reviewed, so do not treat the Scribd figure as edition data. The most reliable route to a legitimate copy is the author’s own product page or the marketplace listings it links to. Read the Scribd copy as a sign of unauthorized circulation, not as a free or official PDF.
Platforms for Volume Profile and Order Flow
The author names NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, ATAS and Bookmap as platforms that can provide the required tools. Each offers different features, data requirements and pricing, and the material reviewed does not compare their current plans. Before you commit to a platform, check:
- Whether it offers the specific Volume Profile measures (POC, Value Area, HVN/LVN, session and composite profiles) you need.
- Whether footprint charts, delta and imbalance views are included, and at which subscription level.
- Which market data feed it requires for the instruments you trade, and whether that feed has its own cost.
- Any affiliate relationship behind a recommendation. The author’s page carries a NinjaTrader paid-affiliate disclosure, so weigh its platform comments with that in mind.
What the book does not establish
The material reviewed contains no independently verified study of the method’s trading results, and no return, win-rate or success figure. Phrases such as “institutional activity,” “smart money,” “precision” and “high-probability zones” appear in the promotional copy and are the author’s framing, not verified facts about how markets behave.
The author’s page also shows a 4.5/5 rating and more than 469 Amazon reviews. That page gives no date for the count, and the figure was not checked against a live Amazon listing, so cite it only as the author’s own display. No named expert endorsement was identified in the reviewed pages.
