The XAT 2026 exam was scheduled for January 4, 2026, so that cycle has passed. As of October 8, 2026, the official XAT site is showing the XAT 2027 cycle—not a new XAT 2026 correction window.
Is the XAT 2026 correction window opening tomorrow?
There is no confirmation of an October 9, 2026, XAT 2026 correction window in the official pages reviewed. The date claim is inconsistent with the documented XAT 2026 schedule: XLRI’s official prospectus lists the exam for January 4, 2026. Treat any claim that a correction window is opening tomorrow as unverified unless XLRI or the XAT portal publishes a dated notice.
The official XAT homepage now shows the XAT 2027 registration cycle. Its dates belong to that cycle and should not be mistaken for XAT 2026 updates.
What the official guidance says about changing a submitted application
XAT 2026 applications
The XAT 2026 e-Bulletin says, “Once the application is submitted after payment, applicant details cannot be edited.” It also describes a limited remedy for an unclear photograph or signature: applicants could edit and re-upload a clearer image. That image-specific instruction does not establish a general correction period.

XAT 2027 applications
The current XAT 2027 FAQ says changes after submission are not permitted unless absolutely necessary. If a change is essential, it directs applicants to raise a query through “Any Query? Ask Us” in the dashboard. This is an individual support route, not an announcement of a general edit window, and the FAQ guidance for XAT 2027 should not be treated as a change to the earlier XAT 2026 rules.

What to do if you need to correct information
- Sign in to the relevant XAT applicant dashboard and look for “Any Query? Ask Us.” Use that option to explain the necessary change and ask whether it can be made.
- Give the information needed to identify your application and describe the correction clearly. Do not assume that submitting a query guarantees an edit.
- Check the official XAT portal for a dated notice or updated instructions before relying on a deadline or correction facility.
- If you cannot resolve the issue through the dashboard, consult the official XLRI admissions contact page for current contact details and hours. The listed email is [email protected] and the listed telephone numbers are 06576653203/04/05; verify availability on the contact page before calling.
Keep XAT 2026 and XAT 2027 dates separate
| Cycle | Officially listed timeline | What it means for correction claims |
|---|---|---|
| XAT 2026 | The official-site-hosted XLRI prospectus lists the exam date as January 4, 2026. The 2026 bulletin expected admit cards from December 20, 2025. | The exam cycle has passed as of October 8, 2026. The reviewed sources do not confirm a correction window opening October 9, 2026. |
| XAT 2027 | The official homepage lists registration opening July 15, 2026, closing December 6, 2026, a tentative admit-card date of December 20, 2026, and the exam on January 3, 2027, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. | These dates apply to XAT 2027. Its FAQ directs applicants with absolutely necessary post-submission changes to the dashboard query option rather than announcing a general correction period. |
