Glassdoor showed a 4.7 out of 5 rating and a 91% recommendation figure, and the company describes its own culture as collaborative and customer-focused. Neither source tells you which jobs are open, where they are located, how they are paid, or what benefits they include. Those details have to be confirmed in a live job posting and during the hiring process.
What Bluehost Says About Itself
Bluehost Inc. operates in web hosting and domain services. Its official About page names Newfold Digital, LLC as its parent company and states that the business was founded in 2003. The page does not show a publication date, so read its wording as the company’s current self-description as checked on October 8, 2026.
On culture, the About page says: “At Bluehost, we believe amazing things can happen when people around the world collaborate.” That is the employer’s own account of the values it wants to project. It tells you what the company says it prioritizes, not how a particular team, manager or office actually works day to day.
What Employee Reviews Show
Glassdoor displayed the following figures for Bluehost when observed on October 8, 2026. The listing is dynamic, so the numbers may already have moved.

| Measure | Figure | Source | Observed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall employee rating | 4.7 out of 5 stars, from 254 reviews | Glassdoor | October 8, 2026 (dynamic listing) |
| Would recommend the company | 91% | Glassdoor | October 8, 2026 (dynamic listing) |
The overview also surfaced short employee comments praising the culture and work-life balance, along with category ratings. These comments are anecdotal, and category scores are averages of voluntary opinions rather than objective measures of pay, stability or workplace quality.
How to Read These Numbers
- Reviews are voluntary. People who choose to write a review tend to be either very satisfied or very dissatisfied, so the average can differ from the typical employee’s experience.
- 254 reviews is a small sample. Spread across departments, locations, years and seniority levels, that is not enough to represent any single role.
- The rating reflects past employment. Reviews describe the experience of the people who wrote them, often over a period that may have ended years ago, so a recent change in management or policy may not yet be reflected.
- The 91% figure answers one question only. It indicates how many reviewers said they would recommend the company, not whether the work suits you.
What the Hiring History Shows, and Its Limits
An April 2012 recruiting post from Bluehost sought people across several departments, naming technical support staff and Perl developers as examples, and directed applicants to the company’s careers page. It is useful as evidence that Bluehost has historically hired for customer-facing support and software engineering. It cannot tell you whether those roles, or any roles, are open today, what they are called, or where they are based.

What Is Not Established
The available sources do not confirm the details most job seekers need. The table below separates what is documented from what must be checked directly.
| Question | What the sources establish | Where to confirm it |
|---|---|---|
| Which roles are open now | Not stated in any current source. The 2012 post named support and Perl development as past examples only. | Bluehost’s careers page and each live posting |
| Job titles | Not stated in any current source. | The job posting |
| Hiring locations | Not stated in any current source. | The job posting |
| Remote, hybrid or on-site arrangement | Not stated in any current source. | The job posting and the recruiter |
| Salary or pay range | Not stated in any current source. | The job posting, the recruiter, or the written offer |
| Benefits | Not stated in any current source. | The written offer and the company’s benefits materials |
| Interview steps | Not stated in any current source. | The recruiter or hiring manager |
How to Check a Role Before You Apply
- Start on Bluehost’s official website and open its careers page. Use third-party job boards only to find leads, and check every detail against the company’s own posting.
- For each role, record the title, location, work arrangement, posting date and main responsibilities. A posting that lacks any of these is a question to put to the recruiter.
- If the posting shows a pay range, note whether it describes base salary or total compensation, and whether bonus, equity or other pay is extra.
- Ask the recruiter, in writing if possible, about benefits, working hours, the team’s reporting line and how the interview process is structured.
- Read recent reviews for the same function and location, if the review site lets you narrow the results, and give more weight to reviews from the past year than to older ones.
What to Compare When You Have a Real Offer
Once you hold a concrete offer, compare it against your other options on the same terms. Public sources do not provide a verified benchmark for Bluehost roles, so the comparison has to rest on the offer itself.

- Location and work arrangement: the office address, expected days on site, and whether remote work is permanent or temporary.
- Compensation: base pay, variable pay, and the cost of any benefits you would pay for yourself.
- Benefits: health coverage, retirement contributions, paid leave and any employee stock or incentive plans, with the eligibility conditions for each.
- Team and responsibilities: who you would report to, what the first six months would involve, and whether the role matches the posting.
- Schedule: expected hours, on-call or support rotations, and time-zone coverage, especially for customer-facing roles.
Employment terms vary by role, location and offer, and this article does not replace the written terms your employer provides.
