Sometimes—but Sears does not publicly guarantee that it can reprint every in-store receipt. Some customers have reported getting a copy by email after contacting Sears, but availability may depend on whether the transaction can be found. If you bought online, Sears says your order-confirmation email is your receipt.
What to do if you lost a Sears receipt
- For an online order, search your email. Check the account used at checkout, including spam and archived messages. Sears says the confirmation email for a Sears.com order is the receipt and includes a confirmation number and item details. Sears Payment Methods.
- Check the package paperwork. Sears lists the packing slip among the documents that may accompany an online return to a Sears store. See How to Return or Cancel an Order.
- For an in-store purchase, contact Sears customer service. Ask whether it can locate the transaction and email a copy. Sears provides contact options on its customer-service page, but does not promise a general in-store receipt-reprint service.
- Have transaction details ready. Offer the approximate purchase date, store, items, total, payment card, and any phone number or email that may have been associated with the purchase. These details may help with a search, but Sears does not publish them as required information.
What Sears publicly says about receipts
Online orders
Sears states that the confirmation email for a Sears.com order is the receipt, with the confirmation number, purchased items, shipping and delivery information, and any applicable rebate forms. This applies to online orders; it does not establish a method for replacing an in-store receipt.
Returns and other proof of purchase
Sears’s online-return instructions list an online return form, receipt, order-confirmation email, or packing slip as documentation to bring when returning an online purchase to a Sears store. The instructions identify records that may be used for a return; they do not say Sears can create a replacement receipt.
Sears’s Return Policy says it is effective for sales starting February 7, 2018, and describes receipt and condition requirements alongside exceptions and other terms. Because that stated effective date is old, check the terms that apply to your specific purchase before relying on a return deadline.

Can Sears find an older in-store receipt?
It may be worth asking, but success is not assured. Some customers have reported that Sears located a transaction and emailed a receipt: examples appear in a 2021 r/SEARS discussion and a later discussion about an older appliance. These are individual reports, not Sears policy. They do not establish a standard process, present-day success rate, or how far back Sears can search.
The official U.S. customer-service material reviewed does not describe a general duplicate-receipt service or specify a record-retention period. If Sears cannot find the transaction, the available sources do not identify another guaranteed way to obtain an original receipt.

Will an emailed copy work for a return, warranty, or claim?
That depends on what the return desk, manufacturer, or plan administrator requires. A copy or other purchase record may help establish when and what you bought, but the reviewed Sears materials do not guarantee that an alternate record will be accepted for every purpose.
For example, Sears Purchase Protect terms say the sales receipt is required as a reference for a store return, plan registration, and a claim. The hosted agreement identifies itself as National English, version 6, dated 0519. It explains why keeping proof matters; it does not promise that Sears can supply a duplicate.
