The next Paris Air Show is scheduled for 14–20 June 2027 at Le Bourget, but there is not enough public evidence to predict a credible order count, dollar value, or list of likely buyers. The commercial-aircraft market has a substantial backlog and long-term demand outlook; those conditions support the possibility of continued industry orders, not a claim that particular deals will be announced at the show.
When and where is the next Paris Air Show?
The show takes place every two years and brings together aircraft manufacturers and other aerospace stakeholders, according to the official Paris Air Show site. The European Space Agency reports that the next edition will run from 14–20 June 2027 at Le Bourget. The event will coincide with the centenary of Charles Lindbergh’s Atlantic crossing and landing at Le Bourget, an anniversary that adds historical significance but does not indicate that more aircraft orders will be announced.
What the current order market says
A 2026/27 first-quarter release from aerospace supplier FIGEAC AÉRO, drawing on manufacturer order-and-delivery data, reports 1,468 net orders and a combined backlog of 16,510 aircraft for Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer. The figures have different cut-off dates: Airbus and Boeing data run through 31 July 2026, while Embraer data run through 30 June 2026.

These figures are a snapshot of broader market activity, not a count of orders expected at Paris. FIGEAC AÉRO also relays a manufacturer-industry estimate of a structural need for 42,000–44,000 new commercial aircraft over 20 years, based on manufacturers’ average air-traffic growth expectations of 3.7%–4.0% per year. That is a long-range industry outlook, not an independent forecast of show announcements.

The release says orders were still exceeding production capacity by a wide margin. It reports 801 combined deliveries from the three manufacturers through the first part of 2026, compared with 717 in the comparable period of 2025. The delivery comparison provides supply context, but it does not establish when any buyer will place or disclose an order.
What the 2025 show does—and does not—tell us
Aviation Week described the 2025 show’s orders as modest. Its retrospective noted that major deals involving Qatar Airways and Etihad had been revealed before the event, and that Boeing chose not to announce deals after the fatal Air India 787 crash shortly before the show. The show’s public tally can therefore diverge from underlying demand: a deal may be announced before or after the event, or disclosure may be affected by circumstances.

Aviation Week reported these 2025 show orders:
- Saudi lessor AviLease ordered 10 A350F freighters and 30 A320neo-family aircraft, with options for 12 more A350Fs and 25 more A320neos.
- Riyadh Air ordered 25 A350-1000s, with options for another 25.
These are examples of past show announcements, not evidence that either buyer will place another order in 2027. ESA attributed 305,000 attendees and 2,400 exhibitors from 48 countries to the organizers, GIFAS, for the 2025 event; the scale of attendance likewise says nothing definite about the number of aircraft deals to come.

The backlog and long-term demand outlook make further aircraft orders across the industry plausible. They do not identify which airlines, lessors, or governments will buy, whether a deal will be announced at Le Bourget, or how many aircraft it might involve. No attributable public commitment or credible show-specific numerical forecast establishes a 2027 buyer shortlist, order count, or value.

As the event approaches, an order signal is more useful when it is specific about the aircraft type and capacity, the buyer’s replacement or growth needs, delivery availability, and production or engine constraints. Its status also matters: a firm order is different from a memorandum of understanding, letter of intent, option, or rumor. Until buyers and deal terms are publicly identified, a precise show forecast would overstate what the available figures can show.
