These are estimates, not salaries officially disclosed by the club, so the figures should be treated as reported gross-pay estimates rather than verified contract amounts.
Who were Aston Villa’s highest-paid players in 2025/26?
Two season-specific wage tables put four players jointly at the top. SalaryLeaks lists each at an estimated £150,000 per week, equivalent to its rounded annual estimate of £7.8 million. FBref’s table, which credits Capology, shows the same four-player leading tier and flags some figures as unverified estimates.

How certain are the wage figures?
Aston Villa has not publicly disclosed player-by-player wages in the official material cited here. SalaryLeaks describes its method as drawing on club wage bills in UEFA financial reports, UK football publications and reported contract details. That explains the publisher’s approach, but it does not independently verify any one player’s figure.

FBref attributes its wage figures to Capology and marks some of the leading estimates as unverified. A later bet365 News UK article also says Capology figures are estimates, not official figures, and describes them as gross weekly pay; however, its July 27, 2026 update reflects a later squad context and is not a suitable 2025/26 ranking cross-check. The terms of the 2025/26 estimates—including whether they consistently include bonuses or image rights and whether each figure is gross or net—are not established across the tables.
