The report described an advertised asking price of $1.7 million, negotiable. It did not report a completed sale, and nothing in the available coverage confirms who owns the businesses today or whether they still trade.
What was announced
The announcement came through the businesses’ Instagram account and was reported by PerthNow on 15 November 2024, in a story by Kayla Sellwood. The owners wrote: “After 17 incredible years, we’re retiring and looking for someone to take the reins of our beloved Ancora Designs and Warehouse Eight.” A second line in the same post read: “While this chapter is closing for us, there’s still so much these businesses have to offer.” The report does not name which owner wrote the post, so the statements are best attributed to the businesses rather than to an individual.
The offer was a joint listing, not two separate sales. A Seek Business advertisement, as described in the report, offered both companies together as a single business opportunity.

The report did not include revenue, profit, inventory value, or staff numbers, so the asking price cannot be tested against the businesses’ performance from this coverage alone.
What is not known as of October 2026
Almost two years have passed since the report. The available coverage does not show an accepted offer, a completed transfer, a relisting, or a closure. The Seek listing linked to the story could not be opened when checked, and a follow-up search found no independent update. Anyone searching for the businesses should treat the November 2024 report as a record of a listing, not a current status.

Three things would need confirming from the owners or a public registry before anyone could describe the businesses as trading, sold, or still available:
- Current ownership and trading names, checked against the business registry and the company’s own website or social accounts.
- Whether the shared lease was renewed, assigned, or ended after the 2027 term date was reported.
- Whether the advertised package was withdrawn, changed in price, or split.

- Verified financials. Two to three years of accounts, sales by channel (retail versus trade), and gross margin, so the asking price can be measured against earnings rather than follower counts.
- Inventory and supplier terms. Stock on hand, its age, and whether overseas supply agreements transfer to a new owner.
- Premises. The lease terms, the remaining term, the renewal option, and who must consent to an assignment.
- Customer concentration. How much trade revenue depends on a small number of wholesale accounts, and whether those relationships belong to the owners personally.
None of these details appear in the 2024 report, so none can be assumed for these two businesses.
