Gooseberry Hill ranked first in a PerthNow report of average views per property listing for the year to February 2023, with 409 views per listing. Mullaloo followed at 401. These are historical figures attributed to REIWA data—not a current ranking, and not a measure of completed sales or future prices.
Perth’s 10 suburbs by average listing views
The figures below cover the year to February 2023 and are attributed to reiwa.com by PerthNow in its report published March 26, 2023. The report describes the metric as average views per property listing.

PerthNow said eight of the ten suburbs were coastal; Gooseberry Hill and Mount Nasura were its Hills-area entries. The report noted Gooseberry Hill’s rise above coastal suburbs in this ranking, but the distribution alone does not explain why listings drew attention.
What listing views can—and cannot—tell buyers
Views indicate attention to property listings under the report’s measure. The article does not detail the metric’s denominator, which listings qualified, how views were collected, or how repeat views were handled. A higher average therefore should not be read as evidence of more completed transactions, stronger willingness to pay, better affordability, or likely future price growth.

The ranking is a snapshot for the year to February 2023. The available report does not establish a newer Perth ranking, so these numbers should not be described as current in 2026.
Why Gooseberry Hill featured in the report
PerthNow included comments from buyers Kate and Michael Hartnady, who said they wanted more land and room for their child. Kate Hartnady described the trade-off this way: “we just couldn’t justify the amount of land that you get as opposed to the Hills; you seem to get a bit more for your money”. Local agent Anneli Carson also described young professional couples moving to the Hills for acreage and family life. These are individual perspectives from the report, not findings from a representative buyer survey or proof of what drove the view counts.

The report also said Gooseberry Hill’s median house price rose 8.2 per cent to $845,000 over the same period, citing REIWA data. Both the percentage and price are historical figures reported in 2023; they do not describe today’s price or growth.

For a buyer, listing attention is one narrow signal, not a suburb-selection rule. Compare it with factors the report does not measure:
