If you’re searching for “AngelList jobs,” go to Wellfound: AngelList Talent became an independent company and rebranded as Wellfound in November 2022. AngelList remains a separate company focused on venture and fund infrastructure. Wellfound is free for job seekers to create a profile and apply, but the listings and application steps vary by employer.

What happened to AngelList jobs?

The startup hiring marketplace once known as AngelList Talent is now Wellfound. Wellfound says the service became independent as AL Talent, Inc. and rebranded in November 2022; AngelList continues separately. The name may persist in search terms, but use Wellfound to look for the marketplace’s current startup and tech openings.

Wellfound describes itself as “a job marketplace built specifically for startup and tech jobs.” Its candidate overview, crawled October 8, 2026, reported 27,000+ startups hiring, 10M+ candidates, and 100,000+ hires. These are Wellfound-reported platform figures, not independently audited counts or a measure of any individual applicant’s odds.

How to apply for a job on Wellfound

1. Prepare a focused profile

Before applying, make your profile easy for a startup to evaluate. State the role you want, your relevant experience and skills, and your location or work preferences. Include concrete evidence of work you have shipped, such as projects, outcomes, or portfolio links where relevant. These are practical preparation suggestions, not a claim that Wellfound requires specific fields.

2. Search for roles that fit

Search the current jobs listings by role and geography or work arrangement. Search results change, so treat them as current openings rather than a stable picture of the startup labor market.

3. Check the full listing

Read the individual posting rather than deciding from its title alone. Check the responsibilities, seniority, location and remote eligibility, application requirements, and any stated salary or equity. These terms vary by job and can change; confirm details in the live listing and with the employer.

4. Submit through the listing’s prompt

Wellfound’s candidate overview promotes one-click applications without cover letters, while its support guide describes applying from a listing and adding a note if prompted. The flow may differ by job or change over time, so follow the instructions shown for that specific opening. If a note is offered, keep it brief and connect one relevant accomplishment to a responsibility in the posting, along with a specific reason the role interests you.

Before sending, check your profile and any uploaded resume for accuracy. Wellfound’s application support guidance says employers can see the profile and uploaded resume, and that a sent application cannot be undone. That guide also says applications may expire after two weeks of inactivity.

How to compare startup job listings

Use the same criteria for each opportunity so an appealing title or headline pay figure does not obscure a poor fit.

What to compare What to check
Role and seniority Whether the actual responsibilities and expected level match your experience and goals.
Location and work arrangement Where the role can be performed and whether the stated remote or other arrangement works for you.
Salary The stated pay and any conditions or details the listing gives; ask the employer to clarify what is not specified.
Equity Whether equity is offered and what terms you need to understand before valuing it. A displayed range alone is not enough to determine its value.
Company context The company’s stage and business context, and how the role fits what the posting says it needs.
Application requirements Requested materials, questions, or steps, as well as any note or other prompt in the application flow.

Wellfound listings commonly show salary and equity information, but no universal compensation methodology is established here. Treat listing figures as information to investigate, not a complete valuation or guarantee. Ask the employer directly about the terms of any equity offer.

Track applications and follow up

Keep a simple record of the company, role, application date, and any next step or response. Use the communication channels the employer provides and follow up only in a way that fits the stated process. Wellfound’s support index covers application status, visibility, alerts, and expiration questions; consult it if you need help understanding what happened to an application.
