What the USTA’s $90 million figure includes
The USTA described $90 million as total player compensation for the 2025 US Open, up 20% from $75 million in 2024. That broader total includes hotel and per-diem support as well as prize money for the US Open Wheelchair Championships; it is not the singles prize-money purse or the combined earnings of Alcaraz, Sinner and Djokovic. The USTA also said the singles champion payout rose 39%, from $3.6 million in 2024 to $5 million in 2025.
The USTA announcement said competitors in professional main-draw and qualifying events received a $1,000 travel stipend and two rooms at the official player hotel, or $600 per day for those choosing other lodging. It also listed free stringing for up to five racquets per round. These support provisions are separate from the posted singles prize amounts.
