The UPPSC released the interview call letter for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2023 in December 2023, and the interviews were scheduled for January 8–12, 2024. That window has passed, so this page is a record of the schedule and the download process, not a guide to an upcoming interview.
Interview dates and the 2023 release
Scroll.in reported on December 23, 2023 that eligible candidates could download their interview call letters from the official UPPSC website. The interviews themselves were scheduled for January 8–12, 2024. Any article that describes the interview as “to be held in January” is out of date: the sittings took place in January 2024, and the 2023 report should be read as the announcement of that schedule.
The same report gave a reporting shift of “9.00 AM to 1.00 PM” and described the interviews as held in “two shifts.” The report does not give the timing of the second shift, so no second time should be assumed from it. Candidates who need the full shift-by-shift schedule should check the call letter issued to them or the UPPSC notice for that advertisement.
How candidates downloaded the letter in 2023
The December 2023 report summarised the access process in four steps. These were the instructions for that cycle only:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems- Open the official UPPSC website.
- Select the PCS interview call-letter link.
- Enter your login details.
- Download the letter and take a printout to the interview.
The current UPPSC portal sends candidates to its dashboard for application, examination and interview information, and it shows interview-letter access for a later advertisement. That confirms the portal’s present structure, but it does not confirm that the 2023 call-letter link still works. A candidate looking for an older letter should not assume the old link is live; they should check the dashboard and the archived notice for the 2023 cycle.
A third-party copy of the PCS 2023 notice, hosted by ResultBharat, describes online candidate services, including examination and interview schedules and admission cards. It states that candidates who apply online need not send a hard copy of their application, but should keep a printout. This is a secondary copy, not the original official document, so use it for context and verify any detail against UPPSC’s own notice.

Selection stages
The 2023 PCS recruitment had three stages, as described in the same report:
Rank #3
| Stage | Format |
|---|---|
| Preliminary Examination | Objective type, multiple choice |
| Main Examination | Conventional written examination |
| Viva-Voce | Personality test (interview) |
The interview call letter applied to the final viva-voce stage. Candidates who were not called for the interview were not eligible to receive that letter.
