UGC-NET June 2025 applications are closed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened registration on 16 April 2025 and, after extending the deadline, accepted applications through 12 May 2025 at 11:59 p.m. The official application portal named in NTA’s notice was ugcnet.nta.ac.in; it is not an application link for this completed cycle.
UGC NET June 2025 application dates
NTA’s opening notice set 7 May 2025 as the original application deadline. A later notice extended submission by five days. The revised deadlines were:
| Application stage | June 2025 date |
|---|---|
| Online applications opened | 16 April 2025 |
| Original application deadline | 7 May 2025, 11:59 p.m. |
| Extended application deadline | 12 May 2025, 11:59 p.m. |
| Fee payment deadline after extension | 13 May 2025, 11:59 p.m. |
| Application correction window | 14–15 May 2025, 11:59 p.m. |
The extended dates come from NTA’s 8 May 2025 extension notice. The original deadline and opening date were stated in its 16 April 2025 opening notice.
Official application portal and current status
NTA specified online applications through ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The June 2025 application window has ended, so candidates cannot use that cycle’s portal to submit a new application. As of 8 October 2026, NTA’s site lists post-exam resources for June 2025, including certificate, scorecard, final answer key and result links. For any current UGC-NET cycle, check the official site for its own notice and dates.

Exam schedule: tentative dates versus final dates
NTA’s 16 April opening notice initially gave a tentative examination window of 21–30 June 2025. The later schedule notice, dated 6 June, set the actual examination period as 25–29 June 2025. Candidates should use the later schedule as the final dates, rather than the tentative window in the opening announcement.
June 2025 exam format and published fees
The NTA Information Bulletin for the June 2025 cycle described a computer-based test across 85 subjects. It specified a total duration of 180 minutes (three hours), with no break between Paper I and Paper II. These details describe that cycle.
| Candidate category | Published June 2025 fee |
|---|---|
| General/Unreserved | ₹1,150 |
| Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL | ₹600 |
| SC/ST/PwD and Third Gender | ₹325 |
These are the fees published for UGC-NET June 2025 by NTA; processing charges and GST were additional. They should not be treated as fees for a later examination cycle.
