Can you trade in a PS4 and reserve a PS5 bundle?
GameStop lists consoles among the categories it accepts for trade, subject to product selection and participating-store availability in the United States and Guam. That general trade-in policy does not establish that a PS4 trade qualifies you to reserve a PS5 bundle.
No current US promotion connecting a PS4 trade with a PS5-bundle reservation has been verified. Before relying on one, ask GameStop directly whether the offer is active at your store and confirm its dates, eligible PS4 models, bundle contents, deposit, reservation rules, and stock. How to check your PS4 trade-in and a possible reservation
- Identify your exact console. Note the PS4 model and gather the console and any accessories or components you plan to trade. Requirements and estimates may depend on the specific item and its condition.
- Look up the current estimate. Use GameStop’s trade-in lookup to check the available estimate for your console. Treat it as an estimate, not a guaranteed offer.
- Contact or visit a participating store. Ask staff to confirm whether your model is eligible, what components are required, whether the store can assess it, and whether any PS5 bundle can actually be reserved using the trade. Confirm all terms before completing the trade.
- Get the final assessment before deciding. GameStop assesses items in person, and the final offer follows inspection. Ask whether the location offers cash or store credit and what amount it will accept before you agree to the transaction.
- Prepare the console before surrendering it. Back up anything you need and remove your personal data. GameStop disclaims responsibility for data stored on traded devices; consult the console’s official guidance for backup and data-removal steps.

Bundle stock and reservation terms
PS5 bundle availability, reservation eligibility, any deposit, and promotion dates are separate questions from whether GameStop accepts a PS4 trade. Confirm each point with the store; an online trade estimate alone does not secure a bundle or a reservation.

- Confirm the store participates and accepts your exact PS4 model.
- Ask which components are required and whether the console’s condition could affect acceptance or value.
- Get the inspected offer and payout method before agreeing; GameStop states that completed trades are final.
- If a PS5 reservation is part of the plan, verify the bundle, dates, deposit, reservation terms, and stock before trading away your PS4.
