That removes a signup step. It does not hide the swap from the operator, from the public blockchain, or from the compliance checks some services run on certain orders. The five platforms below each publicly describe no-account or low-registration swaps, and the terms shown are what each provider stated on its own pages as of 8 October 2026.
This is a comparison shortlist, not a ranking of the best services. One of the five slots is a candidate whose current official terms could not be confirmed, and it is labeled that way.
What “anonymous” covers in a crypto swap
The word bundles four separate things. Only the first is a matter of how you sign up.
- No account. You can start and finish a swap without creating a profile. This says nothing about what the operator records, screens, or can request later.
- Non-custodial settlement. The provider says it does not hold your funds at any point. This describes the money flow. It does not show that the service is decentralized or that no intermediary is involved.
- A centralized instant-swap operator. Most no-account swap services are companies that fill your order from their own liquidity or a partner’s. They differ from decentralized exchanges and bridges that run on smart contracts, as explained in the screening section below.
- The transaction trail. Transfers on a public blockchain are generally visible to anyone who looks, whether or not you opened an account. A typical swap involves at least two visible transfers: your deposit to the operator’s address and its payout to yours.
How the five were selected
Each candidate met three conditions:
- Its own help center or FAQ states that a crypto-to-crypto swap can be completed without an account.
- It publishes its custody model, quote type, or refund behavior, so its terms can be compared.
- Its terms can be read on its own pages and dated.
This is not an independent ranking. No outside audit or hands-on testing of execution, rates, or support was carried out, and no independent source ranks these five services for 2025. The terms are dated 8 October 2026 and will drift, so treat the table as a dated snapshot rather than a standing verdict.

The five platforms
1. ChangeNOW
ChangeNOW’s FAQ says ordinary swaps do not require an account. It also runs automated risk management and may ask for ID and source-of-funds information on certain transactions, wallets, or assets. The FAQ does not list which wallets or assets trigger that request, so you will need to read the order terms for your specific route before sending.
The refusal path is the detail most readers miss. If you decline the request, the FAQ says funds are refunded minus network fees within 24 hours, and the address may be blacklisted. Complying is therefore a real decision with a cost attached, not a neutral formality.
2. StealthEX
StealthEX’s Help Center says crypto-to-crypto swaps do not require registration, and it describes the service as non-custodial. It says it keeps no personal data or transaction history beyond what a swap needs. That is the provider’s own retention statement; no independent audit of it was found.
Card purchases are a separate matter. Partners may ask for KYC above the page’s stated $900 USD (or €700 EUR) threshold. Those figures are partner-specific, appear on a page dated 8 October 2025, and can change, so check the partner’s terms if you buy with a card.

3. Changelly
Changelly’s FAQ describes fixed and floating exchanges and says you can continue without an account. You supply the receiving wallet address, and Changelly states that it is not a cryptocurrency wallet. The FAQ lists Ledger and Trezor among its wallet integrations.
Its “anonymous transaction” wording refers to the no-account path described in that FAQ. It is not a claim that transactions cannot be traced, and it should not be read as one.
4. Side
Side’s homepage lists no accounts, no KYC, a non-custodial flow, Tor-friendly access, fixed and floating options, 1,900+ cryptocurrencies, a displayed 0.5% spread, and a typical time of 10–30 minutes. Its how-it-works section gives an average of 15 minutes. All of these are Side’s own statements and were not independently tested, and the spread and timing may change.
Two of these claims are easy to over-read. A displayed spread is one input to what you receive, not the full cost of a swap. “Tor-friendly” describes how you can reach the site; it does not change what the operator or the blockchain records.

5. SimpleSwap (candidate to verify)
SimpleSwap is included as a candidate rather than an assessed entry. StealthEX’s comparison article names it and sets out comparison criteria, but that is a vendor-written comparison, not SimpleSwap’s own terms. The current official terms for SimpleSwap could not be confirmed for this article, so no claims are made about its account rules, KYC triggers, custody, rates, or limits. Check its official pages directly before using it.
Screening and monitoring
Elliptic’s 2025 report, which names no individual speaker, makes the central classification point:
“Unlike DEXs or bridges, coin swap services are centralized (not smart contract-based) entities that are also often known as ‘instant swap exchanges’.”
The same report says some major services that allow swaps without user KYC may still run AML screening and may cooperate with law enforcement. It describes two operating patterns:

- EASY ASSET MANAGEMENT: Monitor and transact seamlessly with Trezor Suite, our user-friendly desktop and mobile app
- Self-hosted operators build liquidity in their own wallets.
- Nested operators use accounts and liquidity at a larger virtual asset service provider (VASP).
The nested pattern matters for a reader. A service that feels like a standalone no-account site may rely on a larger intermediary that applies its own checks, and those checks will not appear on the order page.

No independent market-wide figure on usage, volume, or performance was found in the sources, so none is given here. The numbers that do appear come from the providers themselves:
- 1,900+ cryptocurrencies: Side homepage, 2026. Provider-reported and not verified.
- 0.5% spread: Side homepage. A displayed figure; the amount you receive also depends on rate movement and network fees.
- $900 USD (or €700 EUR): StealthEX Help Center, page dated 8 October 2025. A partner KYC threshold for certain fiat purchases, not a crypto-to-crypto rule.
Compare the amount you will actually receive
The number to compare is not the headline rate. Use this rough check on each order screen:
Expected receive ≈ amount sent × executed rate − network fees shown on the order

Three things move the result: whether the quote is fixed or floating, the time between quote and execution, and the network fees the order shows. A fixed quote holds the amount steady, but as ChangeNOW’s FAQ notes, it can come out lower or higher than the floating rate, so “fixed” does not mean “cheaper.”
Hypothetical example, not any provider’s actual rate: if you send 500 units at a quoted rate of 2.00 per unit, the order promises 1,000 units before network fees. If the network fee on the payout is 3 units, you would receive 997.
Keep the receiving wallet under your control
Every swap in this list pays out to an address you supply. Changelly’s FAQ says plainly that it is not a wallet and lists Ledger and Trezor among its integrations. A hardware wallet is optional. It can keep the keys you control separate from the swap provider, but it does not hide the transaction from the public chain or make a swap anonymous, and you do not need one to use a no-account swap.
Quick Recap
Before you confirm an order
- Match the asset, network, and destination address on both ends. Blockchain transfers are often irreversible, so a wrong network or address is usually a loss you cannot recover.
- Note whether the quote is fixed or floating, and how long it stays valid.
- Work out the expected receive amount after network fees, not from the headline rate.
- Read the KYC and risk-check terms on the order page, and confirm what happens if you decline them.
- Confirm the refund path and support channel before sending the first transfer.
- Send a small amount first when the route is new to you.
