What happened to Remi Label?
On 1 May 2025, PerthNow reported that Remi Label had announced its closure in an Instagram post. The label’s announcement, as quoted by the publication, said: “With a mix of sadness and excitement for the future, we’re writing to share that Remi Label is officially closing its doors.”
PerthNow reported that a final closing sale was scheduled for that Saturday at 10am. The article does not specify the year for that Saturday, so the sale timing should be understood as a historical detail from the 2025 report, not as an upcoming event.
Who founded Remi, and what was the label known for?
Remi was founded by Perth designer Remi Lane and her mother, Carilyn. The announcement described the business as a mother-and-daughter dream and said its first collection launched at Perth Fashion Festival; the report does not identify the festival year.

PerthNow described Remi as 1970s-inspired and known for quality, ethically handmade pieces. It also named The Iconic among the boutiques that stocked the label. One memorable look mentioned in the coverage was the Farrah Flares paired with a matching top.
Why did Remi close?
The closure report does not state why the business shut, and it quotes no named founder explaining the decision. The announcement expressed sadness alongside excitement about the future, but that wording does not establish a business reason. There is no basis in the report to attribute the closure to sales, costs, or any other specific factor.

Can you still buy Remi clothes?
The report mentions the planned final sale in May 2025 but does not verify whether the label, The Iconic, or another retailer has remaining stock today. Current availability of Remi garments, including the Farrah Flares, is therefore not established.

In a separate report published on 26 August 2025, PerthNow said Lane was pursuing Loomi, a fashionable water-bottle venture. The publication described it as a triple-insulated stainless steel bottle with a ceramic-lined interior and interchangeable slips, straps and charms.
