RRB NTPC Fee Refund: 2026 Bank-Detail Correction Window Has Closed

The RRB NTPC bank-detail correction link was scheduled to remain open from 15 to 29 June 2026—not until August 31. That window has passed. The notice applies to candidates who attended CBT-1 for CEN 06/2024 NTPC (Under Graduate) and whose fee-refund transaction failed because of incorrect bank details. It does not establish that the link has reopened.

What the RRB notice says about the refund link

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) issued the relevant notice on 12 June 2026 for CEN 06/2024 NTPC (Under Graduate). It covered candidates who attended the first-stage computer-based test (CBT-1) and whose refund could not be completed because of incorrect bank information, such as an account number or IFSC code. RRB said most refunds had already been made; the notice does not require every applicant to resubmit bank details.

The notice said affected candidates would be informed of a failed refund by SMS and/or email on 13 June 2026. The correction link was to be sent to their registered email and remain available from 15 June through 29 June 2026. The RRB Ajmer official notice listing records the refund notice dated 12 June 2026.

Why August 31 appears in some RRB NTPC headlines

August 31 is from a separate, older RRB NTPC refund notice. That notice set 31 August 2021, 23:59 hrs as the bank-detail submission deadline. It is not the deadline for the 2026 CEN 06/2024 correction process, and it does not support an August 31, 2026 deadline. The older notice is available here.

How the June 2026 bank correction process worked

  1. Validate the candidate’s Aadhaar number through the correction process.
  2. If an Aadhaar-linked bank account was found, confirm the displayed account for the refund.
  3. If no Aadhaar-seeded account was found, the process redirected the candidate to the NPCI portal to link Aadhaar with a bank account in real time, then returned the candidate to the application page to finish.
  4. A candidate without a bank account could use a family member’s Aadhaar-seeded bank account through the prescribed process.

The notice called this the final opportunity and said it would not entertain further correspondence about the examination-fee refund from candidates who did not use it. That statement describes the June 2026 process; the notice does not establish whether a later appeal or reopening is available.

What to do if your refund is still unresolved

Because the stated correction period is over, do not assume that an old link will work or that the window has reopened. Check your own RRB’s official website for any later notice and use only the official contact or process it identifies. Keep the relevant application and refund communications available when checking; the June notice itself does not confirm a current correction link or a new deadline.
