PerthNow reported on 25 April 2025 that this was the hotel’s first participation in the industry awards and described it as having opened just over 12 months earlier. That is reporting context, not a precise opening date. PerthNow’s report also quotes the hotel’s general manager, James Illing, saying the restaurant award showed there was an appetite among local residents and hotel guests for premium dining outside the CBD. That is his view, not independently measured evidence of dining demand.
