Junior Engineer
The reported minimum qualification was a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a State Technical Education Board or a government-recognized university or institution. The report also mentions a higher qualification in the relevant discipline, but does not establish the precise wording for every JE post.
Senior Assistant/Inspector
- Graduation with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution.
- Punjabi and English typing at 30 words per minute, on a typewriter or computer.
- A 120-hour computer or IT course, with hands-on experience in office productivity or desktop-publishing applications, from a government-recognized institution or an ISO 9001-certified reputed institution.
Age and category rules
The reported age range was 18 to 37 years as of January 1, 2023, with upper-age relaxation reported for reserved-category candidates. The exact category-specific conditions should be checked in the advertisement rather than inferred from this summary.

Application timeline and reported fees
Applications opened September 6, 2023. September 29 was the initially reported last date; subsequent extensions changed the final dates. Scroll’s November 1 report and the official PSSSB extension notice identify November 6, 2023 as the last date to apply online and November 9, 2023 as the last date to pay the fee.
