The application window from 18 February to 10 March 2025 was only for candidates who had passed the 2024 preliminary examination; it was not an opportunity for new applicants to enter the recruitment.
What the BPSC recruitment notice covered
The recruitment was for Secondary and Higher Secondary Teacher posts at Simultala Residential School, Jamui, under Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Advertisement 29/2024. BPSC’s current exam calendar lists 62 vacancies. Scroll.in reported a split of 41 Secondary Teacher and 21 Higher Secondary Teacher posts; consult the full official advertisement for the authoritative post-wise and category-wise allocation.
The preliminary examination took place on 16 August 2024, and BPSC’s calendar records the result as published on 6 December 2024. The later application notice concerned the written mains examination for candidates who cleared that preliminary stage.
Application dates and who could apply
BPSC’s 10 February 2025 notice set the online application start date as 18 February 2025 and the last date as 10 March 2025. That window has closed. It was for preliminary-exam qualifiers applying for the mains, not for candidates who had not taken or passed the 2024 preliminary examination.

Vacancies, reported fee and details to verify
Scroll.in’s 11 February 2025 summary reported 41 Secondary Teacher and 21 Higher Secondary Teacher vacancies, and application fees of ₹200 for SC/ST, female and PwD applicants and ₹750 for other categories. These are secondary-source figures; check the full official Advertisement 29/2024 for the applicable fee and detailed vacancy allocation.
The date notice points candidates to the detailed advertisement and instructions, but does not establish the post-specific educational qualifications, age limits, selection rules or pay. Those details should be checked in the original advertisement rather than inferred from general BPSC guidance or a different teacher recruitment.
Revised mains syllabus
In a notice dated 13 October 2025, BPSC said the Education Department had uploaded a syllabus on 21 February 2025 and subsequently revised it. The notice says the revised syllabus for all subjects was available on BPSC’s website. Candidates using older copies should consult the official revised-syllabus notice and the latest syllabus available from BPSC, rather than relying on an earlier version.

BPSC’s exam calendar dated 2 February 2026 projected interviews for 17–18 June 2026. The currently surfaced English exam-calendar page does not give an interview date, and the available sources do not establish whether a final result has been issued. The recruitment’s completion status therefore cannot be confirmed from these notices alone. Check BPSC’s current notices and calendar for any subsequent interview or result announcement.
