But the accessible article does not show its 15 names, ranking, figures, or methodology, so it cannot support a verified all-time leaderboard. The key distinction is that “highest paid” should describe earnings over a stated period—not net worth, prize winnings, or the value of a business.
What is known about the 15-person list?
RadarOnline published a piece titled “Salaries Revealed: The 15 Highest Paid Reality TV Stars” on October 30, 2017. It credited Radar Staff and said the material came “From our friends at Moneychoice.org.” The accessible page does not expose the 15 entries, their order, the amounts, or how the ranking was calculated. RadarOnline’s 2017 article
That makes the article evidence that a historical roundup with this headline existed—not evidence that its ranking is accurate or comprehensive. There is no defensible way to reproduce a top 15 from the available information.
Why “highest paid” needs a clear definition
A meaningful earnings ranking must compare like with like. A season salary, lifetime prize winnings, endorsement fees, business income, and estimated net worth answer different questions. Net worth is an estimate of assets minus liabilities, not a record of what someone was paid for appearing on television.

#1 Best Overall
- Salary: Pay for a defined job or period, such as a season or episode. The period and source should be stated.
- Prize winnings: A competition payout, not necessarily recurring television income.
- Endorsements: Payments for promotions, which may be separate from a show contract.
- Business income or value: Revenue or a valuation associated with a company is not automatically the star’s personal earnings.
- Net worth: An estimate of overall wealth; it should not be presented as salary.
Without a common measure, time period, and reliable source for each entry, arranging personalities into a single “highest paid” order creates false precision.
Why the 2020 roundup is not an updated salary ranking
A separate RadarOnline article published January 17, 2020, was titled “Reality Rich: The 21 Highest Paid Reality Stars of 2019.” It has 21 entries rather than 15 and describes estimated net worth, while some entries also repeat reported salary claims attributed to other outlets. Those measures do not make it a comparable or verified replacement for the 2017 salary roundup. RadarOnline’s 2020 article

How to assess claims about reality-star pay
Before treating any list as a ranking, check what each number actually represents and whether the evidence supports comparing it with the other entries.
- Identify the measure. Confirm whether the amount is salary, prize money, endorsement income, business revenue, or net worth.
- Check the period. A per-season figure cannot be directly compared with career earnings or an undated estimate.
- Trace the source. Look for a named source that supports the figure, rather than an aggregation repeating an unattributed number.
- Separate the person from the business. A company’s revenue or estimated value is not necessarily money earned or owned by the star.
- Demand comparable evidence for every entry. If the time period, definition, or source is missing for some names, an ordered ranking is not established.
A secondary page reproduces figures associated with the 2017 headline, but it does not establish their original publisher, measurement period, or comparability. Those amounts therefore cannot verify the names, order, or earnings in the original list. MovieCultists’ secondary aggregation
